different distro? hardly, at least for now. Seems that virtually every distro goes systemd. So why would I change? - and I noticed that there's still /etc/udev/rules.d/*

I doubt I could port that to another massively different distro (e.g. a non-RPM based one), without much effort. And I'm pretty sure I couldn't port it to a iOS
