<jonwil> freemangordon: ping
* jonwil reads backscroll
<freemangordon> jonwil: pong, finally :)
<jonwil> so yeah new IDA is great :)
<freemangordon> well, not really
<jonwil> its not quite so useful for pulseaudio since it doesn't do NEON
<jonwil> but its useful for a lot of other things
<jonwil> i.e. functions it couldn't decompile before
<freemangordon> for example, it failed to decompile one xloader function, but the previous version doesn't have problem with it
<freemangordon> but for sure there are lots of bugs fixed
<DocScrutinizer05> how about decompiling NOLO?
<freemangordon> DocScrutinizer05: I am trying to decompile xoader for the couple of days
<freemangordon> because of the upstream linux crashing when AES module is "disabled", whatever it means
<DocScrutinizer05> :-(
<DocScrutinizer05> sure :-)
<DocScrutinizer05> ooh sre
<freemangordon> BTW, I'll appreciate if someone can decrypt that (1208) in "Unhandled fault: external abort on non-linefetch (0x1028) at 0xfa0c5048"
<freemangordon> as I can;t match it to what is on ARM site
<jonwil> I do wonder if new IDA will help with things like cellular services daemon work
<freemangordon> yeah, he does wondeful job for the last 2 or so years
<freemangordon> jonwil: most probably not, iiuc it has just some bugs fixed compared to 6.5
<jonwil> it definatly improves the decompilation of a few things from what I have seen
<freemangordon> I think that arm64 hexrays is what is new
<jonwil> no, its not arm64
<jonwil> its x86-64
<freemangordon> oh, I mean AMD64 :)
<freemangordon> and arm8 support
<jonwil> the biggest thing for me though is that its got a much newer x86 HexRays than the previous leaks
<jonwil> which will help with some of the x86 stuff I work on
<freemangordon> :)
<freemangordon> anyway, I am going afk
<freemangordon> night guys
<DocScrutinizer05> o/

<Oksana> Moin! ((two options: one which not working because of infinite loop bug or upgrading to new systemd/udev which you do not want to use...)) Fix the loop bug, and make it lsusb-without-systemd fork? ((I suddenly realized that my distro already switched to systemd)) Change to a different distro?.. ((ganglia)) Thanks for the link!

<DocScrutinizer05> different distro? hardly, at least for now. Seems that virtually every distro goes systemd. So why would I change? - and I noticed that there's still /etc/udev/rules.d/*
<kerio> DocScrutinizer05: buy a mac!
<kerio> no systemd on os x
<DocScrutinizer05> why not buy an axe, no systemd on that either (usually)
<DocScrutinizer05> I don't care about the distro, I care about my highly customized userland
<DocScrutinizer05> I doubt I could port that to another massively different distro (e.g. a non-RPM based one), without much effort. And I'm pretty sure I couldn't port it to a iOS
<DocScrutinizer05> macOS?
<DocScrutinizer05> OS-X?
<kerio> what's your userland
<DocScrutinizer05> not a topic

<Oksana> Ok, so RPM-based distro without systemd?
