Why cannot it simply be "(y) & 0xffff) << 16) | ((u32)(x)" like it is in the case of sun8i_ui_layer.c?

<tkaiser> ullbeking: But of course you need a good and UAS capable SATA bridge. And sometimes even firmware updates for the bridge chip. That's the beauty of 'native' SATA: just works (even if slow).
