<rqou>
1ab is the linode-given part
<azonenberg>
oh wait
<azonenberg>
that's ascii text
<azonenberg>
whats it say? too lazy to decode
<rqou>
it's "TEST" :P
<azonenberg>
Lol
<azonenberg>
last time i checked facebook's ipv6 allocation contains face:b00c somewhere in it
<rqou>
no wait it's "Test"
<azonenberg>
some engineer was having fun with that
<azonenberg>
yeah i was about to say
<azonenberg>
those are lowercase :p
<rqou>
oh and apparently linode support has changed their mind and given me another ipv6 /64 after all :P
<azonenberg>
<3 hurricane electric
<azonenberg>
they give me a /48
<azonenberg>
that i can subdivide freely
<rqou>
it it possible to just ask HE to give me a /48 or whatever that they'll just route to another ipv6 address?
<rqou>
linode's ipv6 policy is really dumb especially given that my linode is actually in the HE fremont2 datacenter :P
<rqou>
i also really want to do silly tricks with the reverse dns (which linode doesn't delegate)
<azonenberg>
rqou: if you can run BGP
<azonenberg>
i think you could advertise an alternate route to the HE subnet
<azonenberg>
via your native linode link?
<azonenberg>
dont know for sure
<rqou>
unfortunately i have no idea how bgp works other than building nand gates :P
<rqou>
or the fact that at one point the pirate bay was lying to other routers and claiming that they were behind red star isp
<pointfree>
Using the port interface (PI) bits as a guide I think I've mapped top_b, top_f, bot_b, bot_f formulas to FIG16. They were originally made to fit sample routes. Formulas for HV tiles should follow from this by following the 24 wires in FIG16 to the 24 wires in FIG6.
<pointfree>
I'd still like to walk through a few more to confirm.
