Hi
<vbmithr>
Have anybody heard of type script_item_u ?
<vbmithr>
I see that in some sunxi files
<vbmithr>
And I've not yet found the definition of this type :)
<libv>
vbmithr: your question lacks a lot of context
<vbmithr>
:) sorry
<vbmithr>
I found an IRC log where some people were talking about that, I'm going to figure out.
<Montjoie>
lacking context about something that seems SELinux is good joke:)

Hello. My MK802 clone with A10s has four DDR3 chips Elixir N2CB2G80GN-CG (2Gbit, 256 x 8). In Linux i see only 512MB of RAM detected. U-Boot is compiled for mk802_a10s. FEX settings: dram_chip_density = 2048, dram_io_width = 8, dram_bus_width = 32, dram_size = 1024, dram_rank_num = 1. AXP152 voltage is OK. What is wrong?
<libv>
rxrx: which MK802 clone is it?

libv: Board MK803 VER: 2.0
<libv>
rxrx: i do not think i have seen that one before
<libv>
rxrx: work through our new device howto
<libv>
you might find that your stick then magically gets the full 1024MB
enrico_ has joined #linux-sunxi
<rxrx>
original Android kernel detects 512MB, 2 banks. Android a10-meminfo static: density 2048, io width 16, bus width 32. Same software is in Semitime_g2
JohnDoe_71Rus has quit [Quit: Miranda IM! Smaller, Faster, Easier. http://miranda-im.org]

rxrx: even if it works with the semitime_g2 stuff, this device needs to get properly documented and implemented first.
<libv>
and the semitime_g2 is 1024MB iirc.
<libv>
heh, i almost wasn't sure about my own hw.
<rxrx>
ok, thanks :-)

Is it possible to create a pack IMG file from my eMMC, that can be updated to other boards via PhoenixSuit under windows ?
<juanfont>
vector80, I think PhoenixSuite requires a very particular partition schema. It also has a limited size per partition
<vector80>
juanfont: Thank you very much, I was expecting the same
<vector80>
The problem with updating whole eMMC via SDcard is... It takes at least 10minutes to copy 8Gbyte :(
<vector80>
I wonder if there is a way to update eMMC's via USB OTG ?

<syeekick>
with the cubie truck can you set up magic packets?
<syeekick>
not to sure if they are called that but iii want something that i could use to wake up my cubie with a packet
<lioka>
'wake on lan'
<lioka>
and probably no, you can't
<oliv3r>
wens: i see you merged the gmac driver into the 3.4 branch? can I use the gmac driver on the olinuxino with the 100mbit transeiver? what fex changes are required?
<juanfont>
vector80, did you try doing rsync updates?
deasy has joined #linux-sunxi
<syeekick>
yeah its true you cant
<syeekick>
if i were to make a clone of my hard drive and save it to an image could i flash it the cubie truck on nand if it were to fit/
<syeekick>
also is there a way to install grub to the nand and have live usb discs bootable from the device?

juanfont: I tested, they worked but they caused more time for bigger updates
<vector80>
Sorry for delay
<vector80>
The problem is, I create an IMG.gz on the board, and save to Sdcard as IMG.gz. And after that, I insert Sdcard to another board, and let it burn IMG.gz to eMMC.
<vector80>
I couldn't find a better way to write whole eMMC
<vector80>
juanfont: Your board have NAND or eMMC ?
<juanfont>
NAND :/
<vector80>
So, how did you make sunxi-uboot in your board?
<vector80>
As I know, it doesn't support NANd ?
<vector80>
Am I wrong ?
<juanfont>
it doesn't support NAND. I had to use the lichee version
<vector80>
So, on your NAND, your uboot is Lichee, but kernel and rootfs is your own
<vector80>
Right ?
<juanfont>
right
<vector80>
So how you manufacture it ?
<vector80>
You also have an SDcard, and you burn NAND via SDcard ?
<juanfont>
i burn the nand via SD card
<vector80>
How long it takes ?
<juanfont>
~20 minutes
<vector80>
wawww
<vector80>
As I expected...
<vector80>
Really really very disappointing for manufacturing speed
<juanfont>
the NAND is pretty crappy
<vector80>
Anyway, thank you very much, I had to leave now
<vector80>
See you later
<juanfont>
bye!

oliv3r: enable gmac, disable emac in the fex file
<wens>
you
<wens>
you'll also need to change the driver, as it's hardcoded to RGMII
<oliv3r>
ah ok, then i'll just use emac for now
<oliv3r>
it's easier that way :p

but awesome

<tipolosko>
today it hanged with a git checkout (linux-sunxi)

i'm about to try sunxi-3.0 to see if helps..
<tipolosko>
but gives me error on compilation (had to check menuconfig..)
<tipolosko>
rm: i've seen you've compiled 3.4.86.. where did you get it from? seems that sunxi-3.4 is at 3.4.79.. (maybe i'm missing something, i'm not so good with git)

in other way, was very simples to use the encoder, and use avformat to mux h264 and mjpeg into matroska container

trying new kernel, brb (i hope!)

but missing a way to set h264 profile or qp values or the jpeg quality, the headers have commands but no implemented in this blobs

they seems to be generated from the connected cinergy s2 dvb-s2 usb card
