<Syaoran_kun> Hello, after:mmc0:
<Syaoran_kun> new SD card at address db27
<Syaoran_kun> How can I mount it?
<viric> mount /dev/mmc*1 /mnt ? something like that
<Syaoran_kun> Yeah, I used to write something like mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt/card/ but doesn't work anymore.
<mth> that should work; it would be worth checking "dmesg" why it wouldn't mount it

<Syaoran_kun> dmesg:
<Syaoran_kun> [30.890000] mmc0: new SD card at address bd27
<Syaoran_kun> [30.940000] mmcblk0:
<Syaoran_kun> root@BenNanoNote:/usr/bin# mount /dev/mmcblk0p1 /mnt/card/
<Syaoran_kun> [30.910000] mmcblk0: mmc0:bd27 SD02G 1.83 GiB
<Syaoran_kun> mount: mounting /dev/mmcblk0p1 on /mnt/card/ failed: No such file or directory
<Syaoran_kun> I'm using the latest firmware.
<viric> Syaoran_kun: fdisk -l /dev/mmcblk0
<viric> ls -l /mnt/card

<Syaoran_kun> Last line of "fdisk -l /dev/mmcblk0":
<Syaoran_kun> Partition table entries aren't in disk order
<Syaoran_kun> ls: /mnt/card: No such file or directory
<mth> it looks like the card is unpartitioned
<mth> can you mount /dev/mmcblk0 itself?
<Syaoran_kun> Yeah, it work using: mount /dev/mmcblk0 /mnt
wolfspraul has joined #qi-hardware
<Syaoran_kun> Well now, /dev/mmcblk0 /mnt/card as I did mkdir /mnt/card
dandon has joined #qi-hardware
<viric> weird card
<viric> how did you get a card without partitions?
<Syaoran_kun> I don't know. Is a cheap Kingston SD.
<viric> didn't you touch the partitions or format it?
<viric> is all as comming from the shop?
<Syaoran_kun> No.
<viric> aah
liuqi has joined #qi-hardware
<viric> maybe you formatted the whole block device, instead of the partition?
<viric> (I took 'no' as an answer to my last question' :)
<Syaoran_kun> hehe, I didn't touch the partitions or formated it.
<viric> hm ok
<viric> then that's the way it may be set to work.

<xiangfu> Syaoran_kun, are you sure the memcard is working? have you to with other pc?
<xiangfu> have you try it with other pc/device?
<viric> I have a sony e-reader, which is seen as a usb storage device, and it came unpartitioned too. I've never connected it to a windows, but I guess it's meant to work
<Syaoran_kun> Don't worry, is now working fine. Thanks for the help.
