<tzafrir> I saw the recent crowd-funding campaign. Does the laptop support using an external display?
<arossdotme> tzafrir, i think that its the case that if you use a passthough card instead of a computer/cpu card you can use the laptop as an external display/keyboard/touchpad.
<arossdotme> or if using it as a standalone laptop with a cpu/computer card then it depends on if the computer card has a micro hdmi or not.
<arossdotme> search pass though on the http://rhombus-tech.net wiki
<tzafrir> Right now there's a single card, about which I ask
<arossdotme> mhh?
<arossdotme> so if using laptop with a normal cpu card and if the card has a micro hdmi on its edge then you have laptop display + external display
<tzafrir> pass-through is nice, but not what I meant. Right now there seems to be a single CPU card I can get.
<arossdotme> yea
<arossdotme> lukes done work on others like a mips one
<tzafrir> So, does this card support an external display in addition to the laptop's screen?
<arossdotme> the progress on other cards are documented on the wiki pages for those cads
<arossdotme> the a20 card supports an externeal display via the micro hdmi connection the the edge of the card. as well as the laptops own display
<tzafrir> Currently I assume that no, as nowhere does it mention that it is uspported.
<arossdotme> oh right something to bug luke about :)
<tzafrir> lkcl, ==^
<arossdotme> its what the cable set is for. you get a micro hdmi cable so you can use the a20 card on its own like a computer stick usb + hdmi
<tzafrir> Yeah. But does that also apply if the card is inside a laptop or a micro-desktop?
<arossdotme> yes you can also use the micro hdmi on the edge of the cpu card while its in the laptop :)
<arossdotme> or micro - desktop heck any device you plug it into you will be able to get to the micro hdmi and the usb otg connections
<arossdotme> micro - desktop = micro-desktop
<arossdotme> *get to and use
<tzafrir> OK. Thanks.
<arossdotme> brill hope i was of some help :)

<lkcl> tzafrir: welcome back, man :) arossdotme pretty much covered it.
<lkcl> tzafrir: to answer your original question: the laptop housing doesn't support an external display, the *EOMA68-A20* supports dual display(s).
