It took me about 2 days of research to find your project, and the last couple days I have been skimming around the forums and getting a grasp on what all is going on (with gta04). It appears the Neo900 is the goto case / platform. I take it ordering the neo will also further the gta project?

It's safe to say I respect my freedom and would rather put my $1000 towards a device that will further that goal than blow it on a flagship. I would sacrifice some good looks for freedom but damn the Freerunner is ugly (and no keyboard). I wasn't exactly sure of the relationship but it makes sense now. Any development from either party would likely go both ways.

yes, Nikolaus developed GTA04 (and is about to build another few dozen) and he also was the hardware house for Neo900 wich is based on the GTA04 design but with lots of improvements and extensions. Good stuff found in one project he obviously will use in the other

I like it! The message that started it all. I was looking around on ebay and the N900 is 150-300 USD. Crazy for such an old phone. I was wondering if it had to do with this project or if it just maintained its value? Like the x200 keeping a fairly high price compared to similar models and lines (due to libreboot)

Off point. I mean to say I am excited about this project! If I understand correctly pretty much everything inside is opened up and the modem has been shoved into a corner with kill switches and monitors because it cannot be opened?
