Hi. I have enable kernel messages on bootparams {verbose debug}. And booting process get stopped by a kernel panic. http://0x0.st/iSHC.jpg
<sunshavi>
BTW. this is on an opiplus2e. But same kernel, same setup works on opipcplus (it boots without issues)

I think I have found the problem
<sunshavi>
is the opp_table0 for opp-1296000000. My values just work for opi_pc_plus but not for opi_plus_2e
<sunshavi>
the line i need is the opp-microvolt

does anyone manage any H6 board to run KDE plasma?

Thanks, Werner. It seems holding me back due to some OpenGL rendering problem when switching tab in application launcher.
<Werner>
sbbg, are you running Panfrost?
cnxsoft has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<sbbg>
Werner: Yes
<Werner>
Stable?
<sbbg>
Not sure. It's 5.5 kernel module.
cnxsoft has joined #linux-sunxi
<sbbg>
or are you asking about userspace driver?
<Werner>
Built them from source
<Werner>
Seems like when the GPU clocking higher it crashes.
<sbbg>
Then it mesa 20.0
<Werner>
Yes
<sbbg>
Well, I actually build them from source, indeed.
<sbbg>
Mesa is built by Gentoo, the kernel is built with LibreELEC kernel tree in Armbian build script.
<sbbg>
or is there something like a magical parameter for kernel or mesa? I wonder.
<Werner>
Which board are you using?
<sbbg>
PineH64 model B with 3GB ram
<Werner>
Okay. I use an OrangePi One Plus. Both H6.
<sbbg>
Just curious. My top priority is darn HW decoding of FFMPEG/Kodi.
<Werner>
I tried to figure out if LibreELEC has some patches that Armbian does not include but could not find anything spectacular yet.
<sbbg>
Good luck with that. It would be really useful if you can spot something.
<Werner>
Currently trying to raise the gpu clock step by step and see when it crashes.
<Werner>
It throws errors when killing glxgears but not crashing yet.
<Werner>
Currently at 420MHz
<sbbg>
I didn't try glxgears yet. Only tried glmark2.
<Werner>
glxgears was the most obvious thing for me =)
<Werner>
Good enough to put a load on it.
<sbbg>
I might find time to try it later. I'm interested about how to make this board working like a PC. But only after HW decoding...

Is there an 64 bit Linux with working HW decoding for Allwinner H6? I wonder. I'm almost stress out by doing this.
macc24 has quit [Ping timeout: 260 seconds]
<Werner>
If I had to guess no. Most likely due to the lack of support through the manufacturer.
<sbbg>
My RPi4 is working reasonaly well already as a Desktop PC.
<sbbg>
And KDE plasma is working well there. Is there any upper hand for this board or RK3399?
<Werner>
No idea. I have very minor knowledge about other board families than sunxi
<sbbg>
RK3399 should be more expensive and hotter than Allwinner H6 because it has cortex a72 cores. It might not be my best bet.
<Werner>
Put a nice heatsink on ;)
Mangy_Dog has joined #linux-sunxi
<sbbg>
I know you're right. But my ultimate dream is something attach on my body without heatsink. :P With an ergodox keyboard mounted on my belt and HMD to achieve working when standing.
<Werner>
A heat sink should not make such a difference in weight?
<sbbg>
I just hope it's not that hot when putting on my body. It's already really hot here in Taiwan. :P
<Werner>
