<bob21> you know how they make holy water?
<xXUnRealXx> you for got to read this:
<xXUnRealXx> isopropy alcohol is highly inflammable - it will evaporate into something that can be ignited at low temperature (13-15 degrees), and will catch fire at around 400 degrees C, and we do not want to be responsible for house fires. BAD BAD IDEA
<Phay> yeah
<Phay> jesus jizz
<Phay> *precum
<bob21> nope, they boil the hell out of it

<jamezz> i mean why mention it if you are not going to do it
<jamezz> im being courteous
<Phay> no you're being a fucking retard
<Phay> dick/annoying and not helping this chat group
<jamezz> no I am not , I was conversing with FreshFund and you chimed in with your typical shit
<Phay> sure, we are here for everyone, but damn, why do you think people are complaining about you
<Phay> stop and think, read what you're writing

<jamezz> do i care if people complaine about me?
<jamezz> wtf dude
<jamezz> get over it
<Phay> clearly no
<Phay> Many here can tell you just care about yourself
<Jybrael> Hi
<jamezz> really? please tell me more
<Phay> Hey Jybrael. sorry :\
<jamezz> im glad im talked about behind my back by the team/community interesting you bring that up
<Jybrael> Sorry why?
<Phay> oh the current conversation Jybrael
<Jybrael> Ah alright
<Jybrael> Ahaha I thought something else happened
<jamezz> phay has his head up his ass... no worries
<Phay> yeah. just an otc arguement
<Phay> between him and me.
<jamezz> no , were are still @ [00:46:32] <Phay> what is another way to say "at such"
<jamezz> but thats ok , your big topic bully
<jamezz> i love your focus on the topic always , its so sexy
<jamezz> phay piss the fuck off i showed you how to ignore me... i dont need your taunts or bitch antics trying to start shit between me and the community
<jamezz> i actually give a shit about trying to make people active , and get away from being IDLE and EVERYBODY inputs topics and chats about random shit... so i don't know what your problem and if anybody else's problem is its irc and I will comment this openly taking it to another medium is not going to change activity and participation its not real time. You are missing opportunity to have a report with gridcoinsters whom might be less keen on forums and " skype
<jamezz> like chats " but are as much of the community as you and the next person.
<jamezz> and , when someone needs/asks for help.... damn square or something on the topic we switch
<Phay> why are you talking here?
<jamezz> why havent you put me on ignore?
<Phay> because I was having a conversation with you
<jamezz> 1 sided talking to yourself
<jamezz> here want me to do it for you? then you can follow?
<Phay> arroagance does that to people
<jamezz> [01:05:34] * Phay!*@* added to ignore list
<Phay> oops lol
<Phay> welp. thankful now it'll be quieter cuz the arguement stopped :I
<SvartH> v3.5.7.5, by reading the release notes it looks worth upgrading!
<FreshFund> woah shit sorry did not mean to start that
<Phay> :o
<Phay> eh. it's fine. more of my problem/fault :I
<Phay> well. wait. as in no, it's definitely not your fault. you did no wrong. I started it
<Phay> thankfully it's over tho. that's what counts :O
<FreshFund> good good, but back to ur question tho... id say maybe replace "such a large"with "a comparable" or "an equivalent"
<Phay> hmm. an equivalent to what
<Phay> wow. totally forgot I was writing that >_>
<FreshFund> aha all good

<NeuralMiner> you dont make rac on that project by being in a radioactive area. it's just to measure the radioactive levels where you are.
<NeuralMiner> more or less radioactivity doesnt give you anything extra.
<jamezz> again , being fictitious
<jamezz> :)
<Peppernrino> apc: thank you for the clarification
<jamezz> i used to have a shirt that said " sarcasm , one of the many services I offer " i need a new one with " fictitious " , I have been looking at the devices for earth quakes and radio active... be cool to just have let alone how they have implemented in boinc the way to use hem
<Peppernrino> i was going nuts looking for an explanation
<Peppernrino> also.... isn't everything radioactive?
<jamezz> to a degree yes
<jamezz> those levels very constantly too
<jamezz> vary*
<jamezz> i live near the famous handford nuclear waste so that seems like an interesting project to me... but whats it like 20 rads is normal everyday backround radiation... so the project itself would have to be based on data collection per a time period and would have to be hard deadlines in boinc
mnk has quit [Ping timeout: 250 seconds]
<jamezz> this , are people just guessing on boinc deadline? some projects would have to be hard start hard end
<jamezz> and a hard set , reported by... or else end results would be pointless
<jamezz> i think apc just hit the bong and decided that was the way it worked!
<apc> I haven't seen a really set official explanation, just pieced together from a bunch of other people
<apc> it's a due date insofar as if you finish by then, you get the credit
<apc> if you don't start by then, it gets aborted
<apc> if you start by then but don't finish, someone else will also start, but if you finish before them, you still get the credit

<jamezz> my roommate pissed me off and suspended his computer while his GF was visiting... and i showed him the deadlines

<jamezz> and apparently deadline is a soft deadline with a 24hr after margin

<mrtrousers> I tell you, in the 90 there were like 200 or more snowboard brands.. How many were left? Not so many.
<apc> I didn't realize I needed to keep all projects attached on the machine running the wallet
<mrtrousers> Mmm. You have.. but can you suspend them?
<apc> yeah, and just set them to not get new tasks
<mrtrousers> why?
<apc> cus all I want is for the wallet to see them. I don't want them to use any resources on this machine. I might crunch some of them later but for now they haven't given me much mag
<apc> like leiden or citizen science
<apc> I actually have a cpl million credits from poem but I wanna see what I get out of the less popular gpu projects, so einstein or milkyway
<mrtrousers> so you set them to no new tasks but dont suspend them?
<apc> yup. I dunno what difference suspending would make. I just don't want them to even try to get work
<apc> I think suspended tasks can still go get work units, they just won't start them
<apc> I *think*
<apc> I think suspension is better for short pauses, like schedule run times or if you don't want it crunching while in use. but not for long term holding
<lestus> have to tell it, don't get new tasks, suspend, don't talk to server, just die already, kill it with fire
* lestus why is my cpu still 100%
* lestus xplodes
<mrtrousers> ok
<lestus> i kid
<apc> xxunrealxx has more rac than the pool
<apc> I think we should kill him, eat him, and split his rac among us
<lestus> agreed
<lestus> x.x
<Peppernrino> keep it at 100%
<Peppernrino> no harm
<Peppernrino> life is an illusion
<lestus> apc how much has he got?
<apc> 11.5million
<lestus> Peppernrino: tru dat
<lestus> apc o.0 wtf
<apc> cassidy has more tho. 21.8mil. whoever that is
<lestus> one of founders?
<lestus> like, no point boincing, just stake at that point
<apc> well this is their rac
<apc> so it's a reflection of their active work
<lestus> which is crazy'
<lestus> sorry, confused it
<lestus> with combined weight
<apc> what is dpor? and if my dpor is the same as my balance, shouldn't I be getting a payout like, yesterday?
<apc> haven't gotten por in two days. I need my grcfix
<apc> peppernrino
<lestus> apc dpor is rac combined with stake, weighted ? i think
<apc> hmm
<lestus> i noticed when i had rac trouble, dpor was my exact balance, as a minimum
<lestus> until my rac accumulation started being noticed
<lestus> i never get to rac of above like 40k-60k before i get a small payout and it clears it all
<apc> mag is 109, rac is 48455...
<apc> hmmmmm

<lestus> yep
<lestus> i see dpor drop straight after payout
<lestus> then build up again over time
<apc> yeah that's what I'm not seeing. it's holding low

<apc> 61 grc research owed
* apc twitches
<lestus> that's approximation i recon lol
<lestus> mine shows 55 owed
<apc> maybe I should let my balance get higher this time
<apc> I cashed out to put the few bucks worth towards my new display, so I could say, "aw yeah, science paid for this"
<lestus> whaa, nice hehe
<apc> "see that sweet 144hz monitor over there? boinc, baby. boinc."
<lestus> how do you even cash in/out ?
<lestus> i basically boinced from 0
<apc> sent it to c-cex, converted to btc, sent btc to coinbase, withdrew to bank
<apc> I guess converted isn't the right word. traded for btc
<apc> sold
<lestus> damn
<lestus> why so hard
<lestus> need to have direct conversion organised
<lestus> between fiat and grc
<apc> I could've traded for usd on c-cex yeah
<apc> but I wanted to get it into coinbase, so needed btc
<apc> what I've also done, and what I'll do again once the tax year is over, is just sell grc for btc on c-cex, and then buy gift cards with the bitcoin
<apc> so it's never actually turned into dollars
<lestus> the current trading platforms are designed for gambling though, like c-cex, excuse me 'speculative trading', but the point is, they are not primary exchange for moving funds, we need proper exchanges setup i recon
<apc> *shrug* I don't know how it all works. so long as it does :)
<mrtrousers> I kind of like that approach apc, it has something..
<mrtrousers> Gridcoin gift cards..
<apc> supports my amazon habit
<mrtrousers> My plan is on holding the grc forever kind of..
<mrtrousers> I think it will succeed in the long term
<apc> I haven't set a long term strategy yet
<apc> right not it's just do work -> pay bills
<apc> right now
<traderman> lestus, maybe a p2p exchange like Localbitcoins, but for Gridcoin, will do wonders. Maybe bitsquare might add GRC/USD pair in the future
<mrtrousers> Localbitcoins, i like that one..
<mrtrousers> Local gridcoins..
