<Thiagovfar> Episode 1?
<xplodwild> sinc: Unless exynos packs an LTE chip, all the LTE phones will pack a qualcomm if I'm not mistaken
<xplodwild> Thiagovfar: note 3 probably later this year

<Jiangyi> Hamster: Flash a 4.1 bootloader
<xplodwild> jomp16: you expect to do software video decoding on an armv6 device?
<jomp16> Why? It's will eat my cat?
<Thiagovfar> It won't be realtime ( I guess )
<xplodwild> jomp16: what your CPU speed?
<Hamster> I'm quite new to the whole rooting/modding thing, could you specify a bit more for me Jiangyi?
<jomp16> It's is for my friend who's want to modify a player...
<Jiangyi> Hamster: Look on the XDA post for CM, you'll see it.
<jomp16> Galaxy 5: 600MHz, overclockable to 786MHz
<xplodwild> jomp16: there's definitely no way you can read videos with sw decoding on a device that slow
<Hamster> ah, is it in the "JB Bootloaders" section?
<xplodwild> jomp16: and VLC algorithm are probably optimized (if not only made) for ARMv7

<jomp16> To bad :-(
<xplodwild> jomp16: you can try to build but I'm pretty sure anything bigger than 320x240 will lag hard
<jomp16> So, no opensauce player to arm6?
<jomp16> --> I will try to compile VLC to my P3110, and modify all... || Is like compiling Android? I don't want to build in Eclipse
Alram is now known as zz_Alram
<Hamster> Jiangyi, do I simply flash it on top of what I have now? or do I need to do something else beforehand?
<jomp16> Never mind, reading wiki

<smudles> Hello friends, i have got a big problem, usimg cm10.1 on sgs3. No connection to my mobileprovider. Wlan works, but thats it, so i guess the modem is gome. Could that be it? Someone here who has got some good advice for me?
<Thiagovfar> jomp16: Nope. Sorry.
<Thiagovfar> smudles: You should be able to see the baseband version via Settings -> Phone Info
<nosklo> smudles: you just installed cm10.1 and got no connection?
<nosklo> did you try paying the mobile provider bill?
<smudles> Thiagovfar, yes its I9300XXELL4
<a3Dman> I missed teh sgs4, no wais
<smudles> nosklo, i have used that os for a few weeks now and it worked before
<smudles> Happened today...
<nosklo> smudles: ok, so what did you do that made it stop working?
<nosklo> it just happened?
<nosklo> I have a SGS3 and mine still works, just checked
<smudles> Cant realy say, no mods on the system, some apps i installed on regular ways (gapps) so i cant say
<nosklo> smudles: maybe you didn't pay the mobile provider bill so they cut your data?
<a3Dman> woot, another S-lame app xD
<xplodwild> smudles: maybe it's just a temp outage in your location
<smudles> I use prepayed and have money left
<smudles> Chacked that, other ppl with same provider dont have that prob
<nosklo> smudles: did you try rebooting the phone/putting it to airplane mode and back again?

<Thiagovfar> Well, I'm going to find a sony repair center, put the battery on the balcony and run the fuck away.

<Bert__> Check the readme, factory reset. On XDA Developer there is a remove triangle app. (free on XDA)
<knix> avar: try again
<knix> I've found I have to flash a few times for it to take
<knix> But you also might simply need to wait logner
<avar> The guide is somewhat ambiguous on what you're supposed to do after you flash with heimdall. "The device will not reboot, rather will wait for you to reboot it to give enough time to enter recovery with the button combination."
<avar> Does this mean you should reboot directly into recovery mode again and use adb on that, or do a normal boot?
<frankdrey> avar, you should have copied the file earlier
<frankdrey> the guides should be re-written for that

<obiwahn> the user data will still be around?
<codeworkx> obiwahn: why don't you do what i said?
<codeworkx> flash the cwm kernel, boot into recovery, flash cm, flash gapps, factory reset

<codeworkx> download mode works always
<codeworkx> battery out, battery in, volume down + home + power
<obiwahn> what is the difference between the two?
<obiwahn> and how long must i press the keys?
<codeworkx> till the screen turns on

<nickhs> Howdy! I have a S3 that appears to be in some nasty state due to a string of bad flashes. I'm trying to return it to a stock PIT/ROM/MODEM etc configuration. By flashing CyanogenMod will that happen?
<codeworkx> no
<nickhs> or is the only solution through Odin? (and is there an OSX variant available)
<codeworkx> heimdall
<Bert__> NNickhs no. You need to Odin-ify the thing
<RedShift> nickhs www.samfirmware.com
<nickhs> codeworkx: hey! I've been trying to use Heimdall but it appears to not support the version of Loke that the S3 is using?
<obiwahn> ok now i got it
<obiwahn> :)
<nickhs> RedShift: grabbed the rom from there, thanks!
<codeworkx> nickhs: heimdall is working fine
<obiwahn> it is not too hard when you know what you are doing
<nickhs> (NB: I'm using Heimdall 1.3.2)
<codeworkx> blame apple
<obiwahn> is the wiki open to anybody?

<obiwahn> like how long to press the keys
<obiwahn> if you have to unpack or not
<nickhs> the PIT came from the existing PIT file on the phone, the files from samfirmware.com
<obiwahn> and the trick with the battery
<obiwahn> as soon as you missed ther first boot it does not work until you reflash
<Bert__> obi, 3-4. The trick is to pull your finger off the power button as soon as you see activity, otherwise too long = reboot.
<obiwahn> Bert__: that is waht i did ....
<obiwahn> oh nice
<obiwahn> it works
<obiwahn> thanks

<snadge> codeworkx: has anyone put their hand up for supporting i9305 yet?
<codeworkx> snadge: no
<snadge> i noticed you haven't posted a build for that device since the 5th
<codeworkx> snadge: lemme do one
<snadge> so last night i synced the source.. did a build of cm_i9305-eng
<snadge> i think thats right .. i dont know.. eng build seems to do the flashing red border thing (which i forget how to fix, its a setting)
<snadge> and bluetooth seems to have borked
<snadge> im wondering if thats because i'm doing it wrong..or something in the past 10 days has broken bluetooth
<nickhs> Anyone know where to find the stock 16GB GT-i9300 (international) PIT file?
<snadge> codeworkx: i might add you've done pretty well for someone who doesn't have an i9305 :P
<jethro> codeworkx: remember me complaining tethering didn't work on my phone ? if I remove all iptables rules and add a simple masquerading one, tethering works oO
<codeworkx> jethro: which device?
<jethro> i9100
<snadge> codeworkx: do you think maybe i've missed some props needed for bt? its not something i've had to look into try and fix before
<jethro> codeworkx: I'd guess it's the PREROUTING table, operations on it other than iptables -F complained about too many links
Anthony1s{-_-} has quit [Ping timeout: 248 seconds]
<jethro> or maybe it's natctrl_nat_POSTROUTING masquerading through the wrong rmnet interface
<jethro> I get a default route on rmnet0 and natctrl_nat_POSTROUTING references rmnet1
<avar> After some wrangling about I decided to try to install the Siyah dual boot kernel that comes with CWM instead of doing Cyanogenmod directly, using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1680851
<clibot> [Link] forum.xda-developers.com: [GUIDE] How to Dual Boot using the Siyah Kernel - xda-developers
<jethro> codeworkx: want ip r, ip a, and iptables -t nat -L -v output somewhere ?
<avar> Cloning the stock rom to the 2nd rom and booting that worked, but like with the CM custom recovery image when the phone boots the display doesn't turn on.
<avar> This is on a nightly (doesn't seem to have other options: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/I9100_Info).
