latest draft. The "leaf ground" characterization data has a weird null at around 100 MHz that i suspect is due to the probe jiggling during the measurement so i need to repeat that
<azonenberg>
and i need to get data for the long flex ground (which i expect to be awful past ~100 MHz, but i want to get data for anyway)
<azonenberg>
and then i still have to get rise/fall time plots and data, i'm holding off on that until tomorrow when the 4 GHz scope comes in

Your ds1102d has a RS232 and USBTMC interface, right?

(wrong timezone I guess :-) )
<noopwafel>
the baud rate goes up as far as 38.4k. it is an adorable scope.
<noopwafel>
heh, was looking if anyone had done anything more on the vds1022, found this 'HScope' software which does a gui frontend on *android*
<noopwafel>
(and links to our python vds1022 driver so I guess that was useful for something)

noopwafel: lol it wont even do 115.2k? lol
<azonenberg>
noopwafel: anyway, i was wondering if you might have time to use it as a test subject for a UART based SCPITransport
<azonenberg>
it needs to take arguments for a /dev/tty device and baud rate

<azonenberg>
i have a cross platform UART class already in libxptools i believe, it just needs some glue logic around it to expose a SCPITransport-compatible API

woo there is now a "cheap" 1MHz - 6 GHz VNA
<bvernoux>
Dynamic range seems very good 76dB up to 2 or 3GHz and 50dB up to 6GHz
<bvernoux>
Far from professional VNA but if this VNA cost is 200Euro with improved 3GHz to 6GHz Dynamic Range it is clearly a very nice things for the price
<bvernoux>
issue on that version is very bad linearity ...
<NeroTHz>
I should really try some of these cheap VNAs out
