<Arch-TK>
I found one for about £30
<Arch-TK>
It came in the world's shittiest box but despite that, it worked out of the box (no broken USB)

<Arch-TK>
It didn't come with anything.
<Arch-TK>
And there was no screen protector sadly, there were a few small scratches on the screen.
<DocScrutinizer05>
refurb or used
<Arch-TK>
it was used
<Arch-TK>
DocScrutinizer05: on average, what quality would you say the cases you bought are in?
<Arch-TK>
(And did you just buy cases or the guts too?)
<DocScrutinizer05>
those are complete refurbished devices, the case and keymat looks generally fine, except kbd frame and backside of screen slider
<DocScrutinizer05>
the refurbisher attached transparent ugly plastic patches which IMHO look way worse than any small traces of wear&tear there
<Arch-TK>
Weird... So is that just a sample? Are you going to go with that supplier?
<DocScrutinizer05>
we can't order arbitrary amounts
<DocScrutinizer05>
so far I received a 24, with a further 20 "in the pipe" according to our asian boots-on-ground

also recently bought a Hakko FX-888D
<Arch-TK>
It just arrived... And I think I like the build quality.
<Arch-TK>
It has been some time since I've bought something which felt literally as solid as a brick.

DocScrutinizer05: is it possible to switch from a NeoN board to a Neo900 ?
<Arch-TK>
(And also, do you get to keep the N900 guts with the Neo900
fling- has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds]
<DocScrutinizer05>
yes, it's possible to change your order.
<DocScrutinizer05>
please rephrase the last question
<Arch-TK>
Since the refurb N900's you get are whole N900, to put a Neo900 in there you will need to remove the N900 main board, do you send those along with the Neo900 or do you sell them back to the refurb people (this might be a good idea)
<DocScrutinizer05>
not decided yet, prolly we will offer a 10 bucks rebate when users don't want the mainboard of the N900 we purchased and upgraded for them
