<naobsd> oh I think I didn't try tsadc in rk3066 with mainline on rayeager px2 board...
Bludot has quit [Quit: Connection closed for inactivity]
<mrjay> thanks for the reply
<naobsd> I'll try it
<mrjay> i don't have a clue how to enable it.
<naobsd> (but I have to prepare build environment...)
<mrjay> would be great if you could find time to test it.
<mrjay> since yesterday i'm trying to resolve this issue and i'm out of ideas
<naobsd> I guess it's supported by rockchip_saradc.c, just dts node need to be populated...
<mrjay> yeap did that
<naobsd> hm
<naobsd> mmind00: why you didn't add dts node for rk3066 tsadc? is there any remaining issue?
<naobsd> I think I have some time to do something in this week...
<mrjay> tsadc dts code
<mrjay> i'm not sure if it's 100% correct. I'm not a kernel developer. But if you could look at it would be great also

<mrjay> another issue i'm having with mainline + newest usb-phy patches is dmesg log:
<mrjay> "phy phy-phy.0: Looking up phy-supply property in node /phy/usb-phy0 failed"
<mrjay> "dwc2 10180000.usb: Looking up vusb_d-supply property in node /usb@10180000 failed"
markm has joined #linux-rockchip
<mrjay> dwc2 10180000.usb: Looking up vusb_a-supply property in node /usb@10180000 failed
<mrjay> usb otg and host works as expected on mk808.
<mrjay> only i don't know if i should be worry with this logs
<mrjay> also: "dwc2 10180000.usb: no platform data or transceiver defined"

<rperier> sjoerd: not sure that I will have time this week to write the dts for rock2 square
<rperier> I will send some patches if some nodes/caps are missing , but I think that you can work on it if you want
<rperier> (I have some stuffs broken in yocto and I really want to work on my veyron for now)
<naobsd> I'll try to do RR2 things in this week... I'm not sure I'll have enough time but I hope it ;)
<rperier> perhaps you might share some stuffs with sjoerd , he wanted to work on it too

<sjoerd> rperier, naobsd: I'm waiting for mine to arrive still, but will works on it when it does indeed

<mmind00> naobsd: not sure actually ... I guess one thing might be that the rk3066 tsadc actually does not do thermal management - as it is only reporting a value like the saradc ... there was iio-thermal proposed somewhere, but I don't think that made it in yet
<mmind00> but it was reporting actual values for me at the time
markm_ has quit [Ping timeout: 244 seconds]
<naobsd> mmind00: I see, thanks. I'll try it and if it works I'll prepare dts patches for rk3066 boards
<naobsd> btw I think it's possible to do "reading thermal sensor then control freq and/or run shutdown" in userland on standard linux environment
<naobsd> it might be better if there is simple implementation in kernel
<naobsd> (it might be already available... I have no experience in this area)

<mrjay> i know
<mrjay> i already apply them

<mrjay> mmind: about tsadc talk with naobsd it started yesterday in logs. The issue is that after enabling tsadc in device tree i can't read any value. i see it in the /sys but channels are empty. Saradc is ok btw

<_vaibhavingale_> I have rockchip dongle which acts as miracast, cromecast and airplay. When I connect it to the TV I can see the welcome screen. I want to Modify that picture. I looked into system.img in that i found images under /usr/share/images

<_vaibhavingale_> I changed the images, but it didnt work.. any one knows where i can find the images?

<mrjay> naobsd: mmind: i think my mk808 v1 doesn't have tsadc circuit onboard. I think tsadc driver works fine because issue i'm having with reading values from tsadc is present also on old 3.0.8 kernel
<mrjay> naobsd: mmind: sorry for the confusion guys

<mmind00> mrjay: you might need to keep the "00" in my nick, so my irc client notifies me ;-) ... for the problem at hand, according to the TRM at least one channel is supposed to be connected to a soc-internal measuring point and the other being available for something external
<mmind00> at least in theory

<c0d3z3r0> mmind00: I tested your arm_global_timer patch again and got strange results… the clock runs way too fast. when I set jiffies as clocksource the clock runs correctly. changing it back to arm_global_timer the speed doesn't change anymore and stays running correctly

<mrjay> Anyway mk808 dts is almost ready.
<mrjay> I'll do some testing and than upload it somwere
