Is there an accepted high availability setup for IPFS daemons? I'm using the go daemon and am having trouble keeping it alive sometimes, curious if anybody's doing anything besides systemd.
<postables[m]3>
What kind of issue is killing your daemon?
<postables[m]3>
With systemd have you tried messing around with the restart settings? They are usually a pretty good way of keeping a daemon alive.
<postables[m]3>
Otherwise you can try stuff like monit
<postables[m]3>
Alternatively you can try ipfs cluster to keep data persisted across multiple different peers. This won't really help with keeping a node from going offline but it can help keep your data available across multiple different hosts, and let you bootstrap new peers with the same pinset easily

I was looking at cluster, the daemon is running on a single nameserver that's part of several, I could enroll the others into a cluster and report back.
<RockSteadyTRTL[m>
Will check out monit as well. I'm experiencing two types of crash, one where there's a large dump of text to the screen, and another where the daemon exits abruptly sans output. I'll gather more info and give cluster a shot,thanks.

if it's something frequent that happens and you need help capturing the output:
<postables[m]3>
`ipfs daemon 2>&1 | tee --append daemon.log` is pretty useful
<postables[m]3>
sometimes i have found when an ipfs daemon crashes the output is too long for my terminal or screen buffers to catch it all

Hey ipfs team, olizilla shared the roadmap with me yesterday. I’ve been in charge of product for a long time, so I wrote some early comments on triage methodology and how to get more value in the longer term. I’d love to get a discussion going to see if I can help with these questions! cc @lidel @whyrusleeping @stebalien
