code ugh I should mayve code? idk. hell, it's a holiday, even if I'm not doing anything out and about, I can relax, right?
<ec^>
idk I'm not terribly good at relaxing :P
<ec^>
internet plz expln how 2 relx
<katymoe>
I'm not good at it either as I'm always connected to stuff
<ec^>
brixen: hi! welcome! this is my hidey-hole! it's hide-y and also hole-y!
<ec^>
katymoe: hm, idk if I accept that relaxing == disconnecting
<katymoe>
ec^: true, it is for some people though certainly
<ec^>
been a looooong time since I intentionally did that
<ec^>
but I do travel a lot and/or end up in distant holes in the world ocassionally, so it happens to me anyway
<katymoe>
What was it like? I think it's worth doing now and then
<katymoe>
But yeah, I never quite believed in relaxing either
<katymoe>
An ex gf did teach me the value of "downtime" though
<katymoe>
Especially if you don't sleep much
<ec^>
I'm a pretty lazy, ineffective human, so *all* of my time is kinda half-downtime.
<ec^>
I'd have more … idk, unspoons? available for downtime, if I was more effective in my *uptime.*
<katymoe>
Ah, but that means you're constantly stressed because you never let yourself relax
<katymoe>
It works both ways
<katymoe>
Your uptime would be more effective with better downtime and vice versa
