Cheers. Hoping that the i9100 will get around the soft-rooted efs corruption issues. I am still on 20130217 !

I have an i9100 too, and I've been apprehensive about trying 10.1 for fear of stability issues.

If I go back to stock (Samsung) ROM the soft-unlock goes away, right? This way no issue with upgrades post 20130217 ...... or just backup the EFS and restore. (does that actually work?)
00:27
<
Bert_ >
Pol, I am on 10.1 nightly (20130217) and have no issues. Any problem I have is worth it over having to deal with TW.
00:35
<
Jiangyi >
Bert_: I would think so, but I can't be 100% sure (Never had to deal with this, nor do I have an i9100). Back up your efs anyways, just in case.

Arrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhhhh.... I though it would just show up as a new version under 10.1... Look at that! Now I need a few more beers before "backing=up" my efs ang getting the courage to flash it. Many thanks (for slapping me upside the head).

Jomp, post CM 10.1 20130217 Samsung had some code (in CM 10.1?) that could corrupt the EFS partition on i9100 (other devices?) that used soft-unlock methods. Ther eare some methods that worked, others corrupted the EFS and basically turned the phone in to a media player.

hi there ... i am a new owner of a s. galaxy S3 LTE and would like to use CM on it. i am a rather uninitiated "consumer" of CM and have had some thoughts about CM (10.1 vs 10.2, nightlies vs stable vs test etc)
12:53
<
dandanH >
in the following lines i would like to ask some short questions .... lets begin with the first: iioc currently only nightlies of 10.1/2 exist for the i9305 ... but if i observe correctly too for example today already 70 commits are registered for the 10.2 nightly ... can i assume correctly by this that this nightly is currently active "in the works"?
12:53
<
dandanH >
... should i try to live with the nightly build or should i wait for a stable?
12:54
<
dandanH >
would a stable release be still weeks away if say someone were to decide "hey we can go stable now" bec. preparations and stuff?
12:55
<
dandanH >
hint: i have already used odin and flashed cwm + su + installed cwm 10.2 nightly ... but now i wanted to try out xprivacy and am currently struggling to get this baby flying ...
12:56
patchie has joined #teamhacksung-support
12:56
<
dandanH >
and as such i am currently considering trying the 10.1 nightly if it might work more flawlessly there ... or if i might need to revert back to my previously made backup bec. i fucked up while installing everything needed for xprivacy
12:57
<
dandanH >
or reverting completely back to stock and wait out until cm 10.x stable might be released
