Random interesting observation
<azonenberg>
while looking for something unrelated, i found C:\Program Files\Lecroy\XStream\ftd2xx.dll on my waverunner
<azonenberg>
i wonder what they have ftdi dongles for
<azonenberg>
usb gpib perhaps?
<azonenberg>
except there's a separate binary GPIB2USBDriver.exe
<monochroma>
grep for what loads it
<azonenberg>
Also of note: LabMaster10_FPGA.mcs
<azonenberg>
their installer apparently has no common sense about what is totally irrelevant for the system it's being installed on
<azonenberg>
:p
<azonenberg>
Also under "SerialFPGAs" there are a zillion .rbf or .mcs FPGA images
<azonenberg>
which appear to control different types of serial triggers
<azonenberg>
64 different bI see a bunch labeled GTX_* which reference 8b10b, 64b66b, and "SERPAT" which i assume is raw serial bit patterns
<azonenberg>
at several different bit rates
<azonenberg>
probably different pll coefficients or something
<monochroma>
azonenberg: yeah, my lecroys have the same nonsenes :P it's a one size fits all installer afaict
<azonenberg>
they have both GTX_ and GTX2_ so probably two different fpgas
<azonenberg>
Then there's "MAG_SerTrigFPGA" which seems to be lower speed hardware triggering. Most likely the FPGA on the waverunner
<azonenberg>
It references 8b10b on C1/2 and C3/4 at high and low bit rates
<azonenberg>
CAN, flexray, HSIC, I2C, I2C/UART/LIN, I3C, 1553, PCIe, SATA on C1/2, SATA on C3/4, SENT, serial pattenr on C1/2 or C3/4 at low and high bit rates
<azonenberg>
and then Mag12 and Yater
<azonenberg>
Which appear to be other serial trigger FPGA configs which do not support the serial pattern trigger

GTX_ and GTX2_ reference up to 14.1 Gbps so I suspect that is the serial trigger on the wavemaster / sda / dda family
<azonenberg>
probably two hardware generations
<azonenberg>
Then there's "Hennessey" which only seems to do TV trigger. probably something really old
<azonenberg>
"Mag" seems to line up nicely with the waverunner 8k / 9k series. I suspect it's a spartan6 given the 3 Gbps max serdes trigger speed
<azonenberg>
Might try and pull an idcode out of the flash file at some point
<azonenberg>
Mag12 and Yater lack the low speed serial trigger, but have what seems to be all of the other protocols. This leads me to believe that those FPGAs are used on the WavePro HD and HDO lines, although i don't know which is which

bvernoux: I'm finalizing my design for the next AKL-PT2 prototype
<bvernoux>
ha great
<bvernoux>
I have worked hard on the Rigol MSO5000 bin format
<bvernoux>
and I have reversed it ;)
<bvernoux>
I have found there is also some bugs depending on number of Analog Chan + LA Chan ;)
<bvernoux>
So at end LA chan have missing points ...
<bvernoux>
depending on Analog Chan Sampling Rate and especially when there is only 1 Analog Chan and 2x LA Chan
<bvernoux>
It is a real mess
<bvernoux>
else all for work so far for pure Analog Chan Data
