09:30 <ccx^xmpp> lamplamplamp: As far as messaging and sharing stuff goes, I currently use XMPP+OMEMO with my close ones with several topical groupchats. I think it works fairly well and I consider it the best e2ee solution currently available (despite the initial hassle of exchanging keys)

It's not safe to assume all users on a Sandstorm server know each other (Especially with large public servers like Oasis), so your contacts on a Sandstorm server are those users you've shared a grain with before.

14:22 <ocdtr_web> Once you've shared a grain with someone via another method, say, them clicking on a link for a shared grain, or you sending them a grain by email and them clicking on it, then you'll be contacts with that user and be able to share with them directly.
