<rafa>
dmarschal: I installed all of them in the same opkg install command
<dmarschal>
i have to "ifconfig usb0 192.168.1.200" every 3 minute or else the machine drops connection
<dmarschal>
3 secons
<dmarschal>
3 second
<rafa>
no worries if the installation says "can not get reccommendation package" or something like that
<rafa>
ah..
<rafa>
okey
<rafa>
dmarschal: well, if you get a stable internet then try again opkg update first
<dmarschal>
i ran into another problem.
<dmarschal>
when i type any character that needs 'red up key' combination, it messes up the command line
<rafa>
dmarschal: are you doing all that stuff from terminal?
<rafa>
:)
<rafa>
press red key again
<dmarschal>
yes i'm running everything from terminal and from nn
<rafa>
dmarschal: why no you do a ssh from laptop or pc to nn
<rafa>
and work from there
<rafa>
the keyboard laptop should be comfortable
<rafa>
dmarschal: anyway,
<rafa>
check the muffinman wiki .. it says something about red key. Well, let me paste :
<rafa>
Note: on terminal after you press "red arrow" it keeps a "mode" which is not useful for letters. If you press it (for example to write a number) press it again to quit that odd mode. We will try to fix it soon.
<dmarschal>
yes i checkd the manual and when i type "echo eeeaaa" then it works fine.
<dmarschal>
when i type "echo eee-ssss" then it does nothing
<rafa>
dmarschal: if you press red arrow again... no it comes let you again to type letters?
<dmarschal>
can you try it?
<rafa>
dmarschal: I mean.. you press read arrow + "-" right?
<dmarschal>
i cna type letters without problem but when i press enter to execute the command line it does nothing. if all i typed earlier was an empty line
<rafa>
ahh
<rafa>
weird
<dmarschal>
so that;s why i'm worried about installing binutils-symlinks
<dmarschal>
because the typed "-" character will zero the command line
<rafa>
dmarschal: weird
<rafa>
but you can do it :
<rafa>
echo 'eee-ssss"
<rafa>
sorry
<rafa>
echo 'eee-ssss'
<dmarschal>
did it work?
<rafa>
yes
<dmarschal>
oh )-:
<rafa>
dmarschal: but with '
<rafa>
without ' marks it did not work for me.. was empty
<rafa>
but that is something of echo in sh perhaps
<rafa>
with the ' mark it shows me well
<rafa>
the eee-ssss
<dmarschal>
yes it works with '
<dmarschal>
rafa: thank you for your help!
<rafa>
okey
<dmarschal>
i have to check cables and my ubuntu machine first.
<rafa>
you are welcome ;)
<rafa>
dmarschal: please, let me know when you fix the opkg update problem
<rafa>
and install the ...  binutils binutils-symlinks gcc gcc-symlinks make g++ g++-symlinks libgcc1 libstdc++6 libstdc++-dev cpp linux-libc-headers-dev
<rafa>
packages
<dmarschal>
ok, I will! I'm still working on the connection.
<kristianpaul>
rafa: when wasthe las time you updated jlime userland?
<kristianpaul>
and did you read my pastebin about installing qt4
<rafa>
kristianpaul: last time is the time in wiki.. let me check (download section)
<kristianpaul>
i think something nis not right here i got the messages from opkg in wich the packages is not int he repo, but is there..
<rafa>
which package?
<kristianpaul>
rafa: maybe i have an old one, and my lasiness avoidme check new one
<rafa>
kristianpaul: ah.. okey. It is not related with the rootfs
<kristianpaul>
i have 26 Jun
<rafa>
it is just the repo
<kristianpaul>
but
<kristianpaul>
i',, like see pyqt4
<rafa>
okey, let me see if I understand.. you see the package on repo but it is not found for opkg right?
<kristianpaul>
yes
<kristianpaul>
i found using opkg list| grep foo
<rafa>
that is possible. Package indexes are consistent with the build environment.. so some packages could be there but they are not okey to install. Package indexes have only packages which are consistent with the whole repo
<kristianpaul>
ah ok
<rafa>
kristianpaul: That could be the reason like you see the package but opkg does not find it
<kristianpaul>
cause i just get it and installed by hand
