<beneroth> hi all
<beneroth> Regenaxer, yesterday night I learned that put>'ing (cons) into +Bag is really bad (got SIG-11) ^^
<beneroth> stupid mistakes
<beneroth> important comment: "you need to know best practices, because you need to understand why you are not following them."
<tankfeeder> done.

<Regenaxer> Hi beneroth! Sorry, still travelling and in meetings all the week :)
<beneroth> yeah no worries. that was just FYI :)
<beneroth> all fine :)
<Regenaxer> :)
<beneroth> especially notable is the good quality of swedens justice system: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=15920885

<beneroth> I find it vitally important that such stuff gets improved, so that all victims can actually hope for correct execution of law. both laws (rules, code) and justice system (executing runtime/interpreter of laws) have to be well-designed to achieve fair justice.
<tankfeeder> Regenaxer: sent you mail with question
<tankfeeder> i need help on day 14 :(
<Regenaxer> Sorry, busy atm
<tankfeeder> ok, no hurry.
<cess11> Norström was investigated for conflict of interest but passed.
<cess11> Scandalous in my opinion.
<cess11> The Lindskog issue is entirely separate, and a much clearer case of corruption.
<cess11> He stopped a case from being judged by our Supreme Court that was raised against a company in which he personally owns or owned shares.
<cess11> As explanation he claimed that he didn't know he owned those shares because his wealth is managed by some private equity firm.
<cess11> It's just that it was his wife's brother or something like that who actually managed it and it would probably be criminal to do such management and not inform the client regularly about the investments.

<rick42> hi all
<beneroth> hi rick42
<rick42> beneroth: o/ hi
<rick42> beneroth: i read your article ("Swallow your developer's pride ..." Nice one
<rick42> oops forgot the end paren ... here you go -> )
<beneroth> ^^
<beneroth> the point is: just do it.
<beneroth> work smarter, not harder.
<rick42> T
<beneroth> I think I mostly get the first part right, but on the second I still have to work on...
<rick42> maybe i have to work on both parts :D
<beneroth> start by working less, haha ^^
<rick42> i just get spun up on a problem then i have to "unscrew" myself ... sometimes
<rick42> fun times though :)
<rick42> i learn, it seems, by banging head on wall; i stop when my head hurts and think about what i did lol
<rick42> this is the learning experience
<beneroth> partly T
<rick42> next time i bang my head less
<rick42> maybe :)
<beneroth> you head banger.. didn't took you for a metal music lover ;P
<rick42> \m/
<beneroth> |m|
<rick42> haha
<beneroth> I think the trick is to having a look at the wall before banging the head against it
<beneroth> some walls are softer some harder
<rick42> T
<beneroth> some need crushing, some you should use to build upon
<beneroth> mixing them up gives serious headaches :D
<rick42> lol T
<rick42> afp for a while cya
