hi! which parts of neo900 will have public datasheets? (with all information to develop fully open source linux drivers)?
<Pali>
we know that sgx 3g chip not
<Pali>
what else?
<wpwrak>
Pali: i think the modem's AT command set hasn't been publicly released
<wpwrak>
Pali: not sure about WLAN. there must be more out there than what we're using. but never searched for it. btw, if you find some public programming manuals or such that aren't linked from the block diagram, please let is know. they'd make great additions :)
<wpwrak>
Pali: then the cameras generally have very poor documentation.
<wpwrak>
Pali: the TRM of the companion chip ("GAIA") is also inofficially public
<Pali>
after more years, today I got information about wl1251 nvs calibration data
<Pali>
and so... I could improve MAC address handling in wl1251 n900 driver...
<wpwrak>
Pali: LCD is also shrouded in some secrecy
<wpwrak>
Pali: not sure about eMMC - we haven't selected that one yet
<wpwrak>
i guess that should be the main problem spots
<wpwrak>
(dump format) nice !

wpwrak: do you have any details about bluetooth support?
<Pali>
because it looks like all maemo devices had modified bt hw by nokia
<Pali>
e.g. n900 has bcm2048 chip but broadcom driver will not work, we need that special from nokia with nokia fw...
<wpwrak>
hmm no, no idea

I really like to support neo900 (and actually get one as soon as they're out) but I'm a bit worried about losing my money. the reason is that neo900 is an UG (haftungsbeschränkt), is there some sort of guarantee of not losing my money? (I'm not suggesting that this is a rip-off in any way or form!)
