<ceene>
i've been working on one pcb assembly this friday and it happens that there is some problem with x7r capacitors that i didn't know about
<ceene>
basically, they don't exist in as many series as x5r
<ceene>
i've had some problems with 100uF 1201 x7r, which simply don't exist
<ceene>
i don't think this is an issue for neo900
<ceene>
but i remember wpwrak and ahycka talked about capactiros a few days ago
<ceene>
so just wanted to note that
<ceene>
gotta go now, sorry!
<ceene>
cya!
chomwitt has joined #neo900

DocScrutinizer05: what are the chances OBS and apt repo to be setup on neo900 severs with gtk3 ported fremantle packages?
<freemangordon>
wpwrak: ^^^
<wpwrak>
ceene: x7r availability shouldn't be an issue. we just specify x5r as minimum (by default). sometimes it can be easier to find an x7r or x6s instead of an x5r, so it's okay to use these, too.
<wpwrak>
in any case, final component selection can wait. all we need to know at the moment is a) that suitable components exist (and under reasonable conditions), and b) the footprint. as long as there's a decent number of acceptable choices for that footprint, that's already good enough.

ceene: and enjoy the flight ! :)

hmm, maybe I should have asked devuan guys first, after all I am aiming their distro
<wpwrak>
freemangordon: i think either way it'll involve hellekin ;-) dunno about obs, though. if anyone knows that, i guess it would be joerg
<freemangordon>
lets see what answer I'll get from devuans
<freemangordon>
as it really fits better them than neo900
