[mattermost] <maykey> Hi. Question about nMigen. If I have two unsigned Signals A,B, how can I compare A<B as if they were signed?
<whitequark>
there is no particularly good way right now, unfortunately, besides assigning at least one of them to an intermediate signed signal
<mtrbot-ml>
[mattermost] <maykey> OK, thanks.

[mattermost] <sb10q> whitequark: FYI we're now using a cheap Olimex on the Zynq 20pin connector, and it seems to work so far. meanwhile the blackmagic is still having none of it. as you can see, it's clearly not about how much the JTAG adapter costs
<whitequark>
fun fact: i've never used the blackmagic probe
<whitequark>
(because you lost mine somewhere while moving the lab)
<whitequark>
so complaining at me that it doesn't work is pointless. the main reason I think it's good is that it avoids the incredibly wasteful USB roundtrips for every JTAG access, and doesn't require weird hacks to support SWD like OpenOCD does
<whitequark>
oh and it supports SWO, unlike the FTDI-based adapters
<mtrbot-ml>
[mattermost] <sb10q> fun fact: you've never given me that blackmagic probe
<whitequark>
I've left it in the lab for you to pick up because you were in some other country
<whitequark>
shrug. wherever it went, the bottom line is that I've never actually used BMP
<whitequark>
and now probably never will, since if I need a debugger, I'll just make Glasgow do it
