sb0: opentsdb, custom implementation in sqlite, adaptation of timber, a triple store (forgot the name)
<rjo_>
mithro: pong (RFC1149)
<rjo_>
sb0: re windows escape sequences. not on the usual windows terminal. that is nowhere near vt100. if you depend on a terminal emulator, it will work. but on the usual terminal it is as fragile as http://stackoverflow.com/a/1336640 and that already breaks if you output multi-line strings.
<rjo_>
ysionneau: we use nidaqmx for the 6733s.
<rjo_>
sb0: re fitting: the full model is more involved. but since all you want is the position of the peak (and sometimes the width), a lorentzian will do. the 0th moment is also a reasonable measure if the background is low.
<rjo_>
ysionneau: on linux i would use comedi or in the future zio.

ysionneau: i have never done 6733 with python or on linux. but it looks like pydaqmx or pylibnidaqmx should work.
<rjo_>
ysionneau: i can give you the c++ junk we currently use but i doubt it will be of much help to you.

<sb0>

<mithro>
a long while back I came across someone who was slowly working on creating FOSS FPGA toolchain (working on bitstream generation rather than cores) - anyone seen that?
nengel_ is now known as nengel
