C'mon. On OPi Zero Plus 2 there's an Android living in eMMC. You can't do anything with that crap due to lack of USB ports, FEL button is missing so now I have to prepare the 'special FEL boot' SD card image to flash Armbian directly to eMMC :(

I studied a bit. With mainline kernel (from boot.cmd), u-boot loads dtb, initrd and kernel. So script.bin is not used. I'm using sun8i-h3-orangepi-pc.dtb from kernel tree. Kernel logs "smp: Bringing up secondary CPUs ... smp: Brought up 1 node, 1 CPU@.
