mripard_: the DT stuff didn't make it this merge window?
paulk-collins has quit [Quit: Quitte]

wens: no, they've not merged a lot of pull requests, they seem to just have forgotten about it
<mripard_>
DT, A23 smp ops and the SRAM driver has not been merged

oliv3r: well, you request the card detect pin in the SPI node
<mripard_>
and use it in the mmc node
<mripard_>
move the mmc_cd_pin stuff in the mmc node
<oliv3r>
mripard_: oh
<oliv3r>
well i actually request it twice; ok makes sense

so atleast that's where the culprit was

from what i gather from the (only) mmc-slot example (usb_a9g20_lpw.dts) the cs-gpios is supposed to be defined 1 lvl up, in the spi node, hence why i thought the pinctrl needed to be there too
<oliv3r>
ah that's the chip-select gpio, not the card-detect!
Black_Horseman has quit [Ping timeout: 252 seconds]
<oliv3r>
how do i know which irq is coupled to an eint? the mmc spi driver doesn't use gpio_to_irq :(
<oliv3r>
i guess mapping the pin via sysfs may help
<mripard_>
why do you need the interrupt number in the first place?
<oliv3r>
mmc-spi wants a gpio (with IRQ) for the sd-detect pin
<oliv3r>
and from what i understand, i have to define the irq in the dt
<oliv3r>
which i think is because of irq_of_parse_and_map() rather then irq_from_gpio()?
<oliv3r>
(i don't know, i'm guessin ghere)

<oliv3r>
libv: was he traveling or using any planes?

oliv3r: he hasn't been here since the 12th
<oliv3r>
oh wow
<libv>
yeah
<oliv3r>
ok that's worrysome
<libv>
i emailed him on both email accounts just now as well
<libv>
so wait and see
<oliv3r>
maybe he took the girls camping or something like that
<libv>
he doesn't trike me as the sort of person who would go into the wild without connectivity for 10 whole days
<libv>
and even then, his irc client would probably stay online :)
<oliv3r>
also true
<oliv3r>
maybe a financial thing where they cut off his inet? but then he'd still have it at work
<oliv3r>
unless he lost that

well, wait and see

libv: the cubietruck is the only one that properly does vga with edid, if i wanted to add a vga port to a lime2, do i need to take a specific i2c channel?
<libv>
oliv3r: nope, you just would need to tell the graphics driver which i2c bus to use
<libv>
oliv3r: either fex or dt, and an clued in display driver, should do it
<oliv3r>
okay, but right ow, we only have the simplefb, so u-boot does all that

cause there's no i2c-2 there

it probably doesn't
<libv>
as it really is only the cubietruck that has edid
<oliv3r>
ah, okay, becasue it does detect resolution properly it seems
<libv>
i guess that the mode information is gotten from the command line
<oliv3r>
or maybe the default just matches

i think that the vga additions come from either ssvb of hansg

Good day all
<MrB_>
I have a quick question
<MrB_>
For the Allwinner A20, is the LCD_0 defined in the fex file always mapped to FB0? My LCD_0 works when I output HDMI on FB0, but it merely mirrors. When I setup a dual head with Xorg.conf and HDMI on FB1 my LCD stays black
<MrB_>
I verified that FB0 is being written to with the fbdump command
<MrB_>
I'm running the Arch distribution for the Banana Pi
<MrB_>
Where can I verify (or set) LCD_0 takes pixel information from FB0?
