Hi guys, I recently bought a cubietruck and I was wondering if it is posible to write the official Fedora 20 ARMv7 image to a hdd and boot from that. Or if i have to use the fedora20 nand images from cubieboard.org and boot from nand?

einojo: You will have to use a separate kernel. And afaik you need to place some parts (kernel, etc.) on either a microSD or the internal nand and configure it specfically for booting the system on the harddisk

Hi there. I habe an issue with my cubietruck since today. The cubitruck had an uptime of roundabout 200 days today and I tried to extract a large tar.bz2 archive. Sudden the remote connection was broken and only reboot was possible. Since then the cubietruck reboots in a loop. The last messages where "[hotplug] cpu(0) try to kill cpu(1) [hotplug] try to kill cpu:1 failed! Rebooting in 10 seconds..." Does this mean
<mmarre>
that the CPU might have an issue?
<mmarre>
Googl where not very helpful. USB Devices are not connected
<mmarre>
I can exclude that the filesystem has an issue since the extraction of the archive was on an external storage mounted at the time where the issue happened. To exclude that the usb disk disturbs the boot I removed the disk. Same behaviour. Any healp would be really appreciated

Has anyone managed to make USB Gadget g_audio work on Cubieboard1 or Cubieboard2?
<rellla>
everyone should be damned to check the wiki before doing any sunxi hacking...
<emx>
rellla, no big deal if they know there is one :P
<emx>
but when the git project page is ranked higher than the wiki page then confusion starts
<rellla>
why isn't linux-sunxi.org linked in the topic of this channel? i'm afraid, that users coming from #cubieboard or some cubieboard forum don't even know, that the wiki exists. so the same questions are asked again and again :S
<emx>
just an idea for accessing /dev/cedar_dev and /dev/disp: just add the user to the video group and all the 0666 is void.
<rellla>
emx: would be. i ever accessed it as root :p
<emx>
rellla, there is not much additional info there and i still got this error: Error opening/initializing the selected video_out (-vo) device.
<rellla>
did you export VDPAU_DRIVER=sunxi?
<emx>
yes
<emx>
how do i check if its binary is there? is it /usr/lib/vdpau/libvdpau_sunxi.so.1?
<rellla>
i think so.
