mikez___: it means validity of a transaction is a boolean that never changes

you never need to re-evaluate a script in another condition

so what we now have is a) a set of timing constraints on transactions b) scripts that assert properties over those constraints

but the constraints themselves are visible without needing to evaluate the scripts (which may be expensive, so not something you want to redo all the time)
