I was going to get some younger relatives raspberry pi-based learning kits, but it seems those have been locked down even further since last I checked, and covered in all sorts of self-defeating bloatware. So maybe I'll just put in for a few more computer cards...

Gamayun_: well they're more than welcome. they'd be able to run a large set of modern distros, also thanks to Trinity Desktop i have the old KDE 3.5 games and educational programs up and running (as if gcompris 140+ packages aren't enough!)

If the crowdfunding campaign doesn't reach $150K, then will Crowd Supply call the whole thing off and refund everyone, even though, IIUC, the actual MOQ for the computer cards has been exceeded?
