mubes: Just had another nice chat with Jason over at Siglent
<d1b2>
<mubes> ah, good
<azonenberg>
I gave him your contact info and asked him to talk to your local sales office about getting you a mso license and maybe a loaner mso probe for testing with
<azonenberg>
He also wants to set up a meeting with me and some developers to introduce the project to them and see where we're going to go from there, etc
<d1b2>
<mubes> OK. Feel free to send him my email address if that's useful
<azonenberg>
No details or hard plans yet
<d1b2>
<mubes> I normally use labtronix.co.uk who are small, but responsive if he needs someone to speak to.

<mubes> If this starts getting legs with Siglent I'll get the rest of the integration done to support the other bits and pieces I didn't need to scratch my itch. It's got my name on it now and reputation matters 🙂
<azonenberg>
It would probably go through your local siglent EU office
<azonenberg>
But we'll see
<d1b2>
<mubes> Thats fine, whatever makes things easy. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help...would be nice to get skids under this.

<azonenberg>

For those interested I have received and tested my HP 8445B Auto Preselector (up to 6GHz)
<bvernoux>
Only the display Opt3 is not working (I'm checking that with the Ebay seller)
<bvernoux>
If some are interested I have done some picture with measurements with my VNA up to 6GHz
<bvernoux>
This type of Preselector is very old first version produced in 197x but it is a must have to filter Signals with a very good Tunable BandPass Filter from 1.8GHz to 18GHz
<bvernoux>
The filter bandwidth is about 100MHz with more than 40dB Rejection
<bvernoux>
and it is tuned with a knob or external 1V/GHz (I have tested it too with my power supply)
