I was trying to find a blog post I once read that "having an office" is a corporate open source antipattern because you end up using different communication media "within the company" vs "within the community".
<paulproteus>
But anyway.
<paulproteus>
neynah, I think you had a question or something? I forget.
<neynah>
Interesting! I will read this later.
<neynah>
yes
<neynah>
@kentonv How much time do I have before all the app launch, app market banner, and mini icons need to be completed/submitted?
<paulproteus>
Semi-sorry to always have things for you to read, neynah. : P

I have strong opinions (which may well be wrong) about how to communicate changes to the Sandstorm packaging metadata files because I know this isn't going to be the last time we need people to do things like this, and so I want us to do our best possible to have people trust and like us when we seemingly are forcing them to do some extra work beyond what they already did.
<paulproteus>
Also I should eat lunch! I am hungry.

paulproteus: haven't really been able to contribute much here, unfortunately - got distracted by setting up kubernetes at wikimedia...
<YuviPanda>
sorry about that
<paulproteus>
YuviPanda: That's fine, hope that's going nicely at least!
<YuviPanda>
indeed, just setup a running cluster, now to find things to run on it
<paulproteus>
Consider installing a Sandstorm there and giving an invite to all @wikimedia.org people.

(-:
<YuviPanda>
:D sandstorm on kubernetes?
<paulproteus>
I mean, Sandstorm on one of the guests (Docker containers?) on Kubernetes.
<paulproteus>
It wouldn't take advantage of the clustering of Kubernetes but it would presumably *run*. (-:
<YuviPanda>
right
<YuviPanda>
should be an interesting test at some point. cgroups in cgroups in...
<YuviPanda>
I've also been vaguely involved with leap.se
<paulproteus>
Neat (-:

https://storm.torproject.org/ exists, so it's not like Wikimedia would be the first free software community to use Sandstorm for internal tools.
