<kyak>
it was merely a guess or a joke, but you are welcome :)
<DocScrutinizer51>
it was a google search I recently am reluctant to do
<DocScrutinizer51>
I was wondering if it's a mickname or a package name

hi, good days! I've got a question that has to do with using mobile internet on ubuntu. I hope it suits here. I'd like to ask if it is possible to use mobile internet usb on a second computer. both computers run on ubuntu
<bariton>
thought hardware-related people might say something about it
<pcercuei>
it's not really the right channel. You should ask on #ubuntu, I think
<DocScrutinizer51>
generally you cannot connect two PCs (USB hosts) via USB
<bariton>
I see. I thought maybe the mobile internet (usb stick) could work on a network of two computers
<DocScrutinizer51>
you need to use e.g. ethernet to connect your two PCs and share internet from one to other
<bariton>
can I do that when they're connected with ethernet cable?
<DocScrutinizer51>
the USB dongle connects to exactly one host at a time
<bariton>
I see
<DocScrutinizer51>
yes
<bariton>
interesting that a wireless internet could be shared when two machines are connected with wire
<DocScrutinizer51>
you usually can use simple ethernet ptch cable to connect two PC
<DocScrutinizer51>

<bariton>
DocScrutinizer51, thanks a lot, I'll try it!
<DocScrutinizer51>
bariton: you'll need instructions from #ubuntu on making a "zero-modem" aka crossover ethernet connection between 2 PCs work on sw level, and how to share the internet from one to the other machine
<bariton>
DocScrutinizer51, many thanks, now I am able to pose my question to them more precisely! :)

I was trying yesterday to see if I find anything on bluetooth settings..but it is another story, it seems.
