<wolfspraul> wpwrak: after the server resetup (and upgrade to wheezy), there seems to be something strange in the right column schhist changelog...
<wolfspraul> do you have any ideas what it could be?

<wolfspraul> maybe coming from a newer version of git?
<wolfspraul> I think they do keep changing the details of some command line options quite a bit still
<wolfspraul> the buildhost has 1.7.10.4 now
<wpwrak> does this help ? (completely untested)

<wpwrak> wolfspraul: btw, what do you think of my idea of a subscription model ? (at the end of my last post to the qi-hw list)
<wolfspraul> hmm, not sure - I have no strong feelings for or against it
<wpwrak> it would simplify things (that is, if it's accepted by enough people)
<wpwrak> i.e., you would have a predictable amount of money

<wpwrak> and it would span more than one project. so you don't have to go pimping all the time
<wpwrak> to start this, you could throw the bens you have left into the mix. they have a very low value while in storage but could still be attractive to get things rolling.
<wpwrak> e.g., if the subscription would be, say, USD 40/month (+shipping), there would be about USD 120 per quarter. the ben's nominal value exceeds this, so it's attractive to start with it
<wpwrak> the next quarter could be "ben accessories". e.g., the wpan stuff, ubb, and some surrounding things
<wpwrak> the goal would be to start with items we already have, so it's an opportunity to build up resources for more interesting work
<wpwrak> also, there should perhaps be one big project per year (that's more expensive than average) and the rest smaller, to built up resources for the big one
xiangfu has quit [Remote host closed the connection]
<wpwrak> so, Q1 ben stock (you have it already), Q2 ben accessories (needs a bit of work), Q3 maybe the led toy (maybe 2-3 of them, one to play with, one to keep in case the first one gets lots, third for friends),
<wpwrak> Q4 could be an fpgatools board. Q5 the ya.
<wpwrak> a quarterly frequency should be high enough to keep a decent rate of new and low enough to avoid chaos
<wpwrak> in the long run, this would need either two overlapping teams (3 months per project is unrealistic), or community contributions
<wpwrak> to get started, collect initial subscriptions via crowdfunding. two categories: 1) starts with ben and ben-accessories. 2) gets a voucher for starting later (with some small discount). each would pay for 2-4 quarters.

<wpwrak> from my childhood, i remember the weelky magazine "Yps". they had some comics plus a "gimmick" in each issue. the gimmick was something "interesting", be it some cheap little plastic toy, some aridity-resistant scrub, a plastic bag you could use as a "zeppelin", (no so) precious stones (but pretty), and so on.
<wpwrak> s/weelky/weekly
<qi-bot> wpwrak meant: "from my childhood, i remember the weekly magazine "Yps". they had some comics plus a "gimmick" in each issue. the gimmick was something "interesting", be it some cheap little plastic toy, some aridity-resistant scrub, a plastic bag you could use as a "zeppelin", (no so) precious stones (but pretty), and so on."
<wpwrak> so that would be somewhat similar, just without the paper (which contained mainly not overly memorable comics), and targeted at a different age group
<wpwrak> ah, Q5 should be fpgatools with an fpga board :)
<wpwrak> Q6 the ya. a bit far out, but it would be bad to have it too close to the bens of Q1.
<wpwrak> ah, sorry. i'm mis-repeating myself. Q4 = fpgatoos, Q5 = ya. one year after the ben.

<Artyom> Hi lekernel! I want to ask you one question: Are you going to visit that "WHPSP"?
jekhor has joined #qi-hardware
<Artyom> I've seen a small discussion about piksi here. The 16.368MHz sampling frequency is taken directly from datasheet on max2769. For GPS L1 C/A there is no need in such a high frequency. But they declare glonass and galileo support and signals of these systems in L1 band are wider then GPS C/A.
