the 4 is still pretty fragile, but uses a soldered on emmc, unlike the 3, which has it as an sd stick.

since upgrading to linux 5.7 on a pinebook, i've been having crashes after the screensaver kicks in and the machine goes idle ... the backlight doesn't come back ... sound familiar?

well, it keeps running, but no video on the lcd...

i did some kind of kernel message in the logs when it happened

if the screensaver kicks in, but only briefly, it doesn't happen...

that's because screen saver has some grace period before kicking in dpms ?

well, you can easily test dpms with ssh
