<smaeul>
on A64, LCJS bit 6 controls DMA_MODE_REG(0) for SPI boot: 0 sets it to 0x0c, 1 sets it to 0x00; bit 7 does something similar for a different boot device, but also overrides LCJS_CUSTOM_DMA_WAIT (sets it to 0 in the DMA descriptor)
<smaeul>
also, BROM sets SRAM at 0x00045a04 to 0/1 depending on if LCJS bit 3 is set
<smaeul>
I guess those should be documented on the wiki
<smaeul>
oh, and A64 and H5 boot from SDC2/NAND in different orders (H5 has SDC2 before NAND, A64 has it after), but since they use the same pins, it doesn't really affect boot order
<smaeul>
er, no, the boot order actually does change. A64 goes SDC0→NAND→eMMC→SDC2→SPI0→FEL and H5 goes SDC0→eMMC→SDC2→NAND→SPI0→FEL as far as I can tell
<MoeIcenowy>
eMMC is SDC2, right?
<smaeul>
there's one function that gets called twice, once with parameter 0 and then with 2, so that's clearly sd card
<smaeul>
I've analyzed the entire SPI driver, so I know which that is (plus it's last)
jernej has joined #linux-sunxi
<smaeul>
the other two are less clear: the NAND driver is from ~0x3200 to ~0x5200, which I know is the NAND driver because it references the NFDC registers
<smaeul>
the two functions I have labeled "load_from_sdcard" and "load_from_emmc" are right next to each other, and call several of the same helpers
<smaeul>
so, yes, eMMC and SDC2 share the controller/pins, but there's a separate function for loading from each

maybe in different mode? ;-)

<MoeIcenowy>
it may be interesting to read whole series
<willmore>
magenta could be mistaken for pink
<jernej>
nice catch
<MoeIcenowy>
in fact I think the word used depends on people ;-)
* willmore
is colorblind and hence does not have an opinion
<MoeIcenowy>
there's no a standard that standardizes the color sense of our brain ;-)
<MoeIcenowy>
so magenta = pink in this situation
<KotCzarny>
pantone ;)
<KotCzarny>
how about salmon?
<willmore>
Agreed, but colorblindness usually mean an inability to distinguish similar colors that a 'normal' person could distinguish. So, that's a functional definition.
<MoeIcenowy>
yes
<willmore>
So, if 'pink' and 'magenta' are similar, it's not unexpected for a colorblind person to not be able to distinguish them when a normal person could. But, if the normal person couldn't, then it's not the fault of the colorblindness.
<lurchi__>
0xff00ff ;-)
<KotCzarny>
or with cheap screen ;)
<willmore>
That said, colorblind people often can distinguish between colors that normal people can't, so that complicates things.... Okay, I'll stop.
<willmore>
lurchi__, but if it's a 6 bit per color channel, 0xff00ff and 0xfc00fc will look the same.
