has anyone here encountered a consistently recurring freeze/suspension after a fixed time since boot (in my case 30 minutes) using a mainline kernel?

i notice the same symptom if i boot the shipped android kernel without the shipped initrd + rootfs, which makes me thing that for android there is some kind of suspend_block/wake_lock logic that is preventing the SoC from going to sleep
