I don't know the details of rockchip-xserver, but it seems that it supports using glamor on mali gpu.

BTW for RK3399, rockchip-xserver seems to be the only way to use OpenGL ES on X11.

I've got a 5G Miracast/Airplay device based on Rockchip 2207:292a using rk2928sdk with an embedded Android OS. It used to properly output 720p when connected via a HDMI>VGA>1280x1024 Projector. After a while it got a little ropey at switching resolution correctly. Now it only outputs @ 1920x1080 which is 'out of range'. I've dumped the device's MTD partitions to see if I could find some saved config

without success. I read that the output is likely controlled via /sys/class/display/display/HDMI/mode. When in miracast mode the only user access is a basic HTTP server (boa) and DNS. I'm wondering if anyone knows of kernel command-line options that might influence the mode? Only source-code I've found so far is drivers/video/hdmi/chips/rk610/rk610_hdmi_hw.c which doesn't show any modparms
