beeble: Hmm ok, thanks. I don't remember whether I cloned it or downloaded a zip some years ago, but the origin was set to git://git.nl.linux-rockchip.org/rk3288_r-box_android4.4.2_sdk.git which didn't work anymore. Changed it now but cannot pull. Ok, then it's my local problem.

I found that recently the way in which rockusb is implemented in u-boot was changed and now it doesn't work for me anymore. It gets stuck on a message RKUSB: LUN 0, dev 0, hwpart 0, sector 0x40, count 0x1f40. My PC recognizes that an USB device is inserted but gives a driver error (windows) or does not show anything in dmesg (linux)

I am trying to use mpv_git from rockchip-linux to play video on my rk3288 but can't get a working command line: mpv [file] --hwdec=rkmpp --vo drm gives me an error "Image formats incompatible or invalid"

do you have the proper GBM mali drivers ?

As I dont think I am using any applications that wouldnt work on Wayland, it seems worth learning about that instead of using subpar solutions with X11 I guess
