<libv>
i see people have been playing with dts, so mainline
<libv>
pl
<libv>
ok even
<naobsd>
libv: yes, I'm making dts for filefly for mainline
<libv>
it probably remains to be seen how the vga on it is wired up
<libv>
ok, so you own one?
<libv>
sounds like i should get one then
<naobsd>
libv: I own firefly. about "vga", are you talking about "physical vga port" specifically, not any of video output?
<libv>
yes, the physical vga connector
<libv>
projectors on conferences tend to still come 1024x768 and vga
<libv>
anyway, i'm sure that it can be figured out, especially since schematics should be available
<libv>
which one should i get, 2G RAM or 4G RAM?
<libv>
which one is the rarest at this time for linux-rc?
<naobsd>
LCDC0 -> SDA7123 -> VGA out
<naobsd>
linux-rc?
<naobsd>
well
<naobsd>
I guess no one in here doesn't have 4GB model
<libv>
double negation in that sentence
<libv>
typo?
<naobsd>
sorry
<naobsd>
no one has 4GB
<libv>
ok
<libv>
decision made then
<naobsd>
some things about video output is merged drivers/gpu/drm/rockchip/* but I don't have enough knowledge about them
<libv>
sure
<libv>
done.
<naobsd>
libv: if Android 3.10 kernel is useful for your purpose, it supports mali/vga, of course

<rperier>
before reswitch to phy-usb for rk3188/rk3066 (and perhaps rk3288 because it does not seems to be activated correctly with "next"), I will fix emac_rockchip I think... this driver is buggy and this is seriously boring
<rperier>
rk3288-gmac is stable and works just fine, I would just like an emac_rockchip which works like rk3288-gmac
<rperier>
so naobsd will be happy, however If you have feedbacks feel free to ping me
<rperier>
btw, in rk3288-firefly.dtsi, you can replace phy_regulator by phy-supply and remove "regulator-always-on" now :)
