<Tony_> I can't resume the device with remote.
<Tony_> (remote control)
<Tony_> but the POWER button can resume the device. I don't know why. I guess and try for two days.
<Tony_> Anybody can help me ?

<karlp> the ir receiver got put into too low a sleep presumably
<karlp> given that it's probably a three pin device, it probably just got turned off
<karlp> I would guess, if you want resume on keypress of the remote, that you would need to fiddle with the power down steps to not power it down at all.

<Tony_> karlp: hi you are right.
<Tony_> When the system is hibernation, the remote control can't resume the system. but if connected the OTG USB(maybe earlysuspend or suspend), the ir can resume the system.
<Tony_> added debug message, when system is _hibernation_, ir receiver can't receive whole ir signor.

<Tony_> karlp: hi could you tell me how to fiddle with the power down steps to not power it down at all.
<karlp> no, sorry, never looked at it
<Tony_> karlp: thank you for your advices. :P
<Tony_> And from linux kernel I can't get that the RK3188 can't get whole signo when the system is _hibernation_, is it a hardware problem ?
<Tony_> karlp: what's your opinion. :)
<Tony_> *And from linux kernel ir driver I got that the RK3188 can't get whole signo when the system is _hibernation_, is it a hardware problem ?

<karlp> not sure what you mean by "whole signo" sorry
<karlp> best not to ask my advice on much related to the kernel, I'm here mostly to try and use other people's work to get linux working on some hardware I have, but it's a hobby, not work.

<wiikd> Hey guys. Trying to flash picuntu on minix neo x7mini. Anyone kind enough for some guidelines?
RayFlower has quit [Read error: Connection reset by peer]
<naobsd> I recommend debian or ubuntu or any other major distribution
RayFlower has joined #linux-rockchip
<wiikd> ok. any rough guidelines on how I can achieve that? very new to this linux/minipc business sorry
<naobsd> if you are new to Linux, I recommend x86 pc...
<wiikd> any idea where to find the appropreate image files? I tried following linuxium's guidelines but i dont have access to an sd card (I
<wiikd> I'd rather flash any linux distro directly on nand
<naobsd> sorry, I don't know "appropreate image files" for your device
<wiikd> thanx anw!
<naobsd> about ubuntu, I'm using ubuntu core for arm http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-core/releases/trusty/release/
<naobsd> gentoo/arch also provides this kind of tarball
<wiikd> ok thank you!

<karlp> Tony__: would really depend on how the ir receiver is wired and powered. it could be on a uart, or on a gpio, and whatever it's input is, and it's power supply woudl all need to remain enabled.

<Tony__> karlp, It is on a gpio. I should check it's power(hardware). I didn't think about this. thank you very much.
<field^Mop> naobsd: this is the dysfunctional open-source driver drivers/mtd/rknand/rknand_base_ko.c, r8?
<field^Mop> naobsd: the comments in that file are likely Chinese
<field^Mop> who on this chan can read Chinese?
<field^Mop> my vim isn't even properly displaying them :/
<Tony__> me
<Tony__> I'm a Chinese. :P
<field^Mop> hi Tony__, https://github.com/linux-rockchip/kernel_rockchip.git tree has drivers/mtd/rknand/rknand_base_ko.c
<field^Mop> Tony__: in line 117ff. there are some comments i can't read. Can't even tell which language it actually is (vim garbles them).
<field^Mop> also in ./drivers/mtd/rknand/rknand_base.h
<Tony__> okay, wait. :)
<field^Mop> thx
<field^Mop> no need for all of them. maybe they state something obvious.
<field^Mop> I'm right now just curious about how they document their source.
<Tony__> #define DATA_LEN (1024*8*2/4) //数据块单位word
<Tony__> #define SPARE_LEN (32*8*2/4) //校验数据长度
<Tony__> #define PAGE_LEN (DATA_LEN+SPARE_LEN) //每个数据单位的长度
<Tony__> this ?
<field^Mop> yes
<Tony__> Yes, it is Chinese.
<field^Mop> :) my vim show i.e. "¾Ý¿éµ¥Î»word"
<field^Mop> s/show/shows/
<field^Mop> ah, ok. thx
<Tony__> 1th: data block unit "word". maybe you should install Chinese package. :)
<field^Mop> ok, google helped with the first one, too
<field^Mop> *g maybe..
<Tony__> *Chinese language package
<field^Mop> last one is "The length of each data unit"
<field^Mop> 2nd is "Check the data length"
<field^Mop> Tony__: thx for posting the chars
<Tony__> Yep.
<field^Mop> hm, maybe github would have shown those, too?
<Tony__> Yep. I copy it from github. :)
<Tony__> And I really think they should use English for comments.
<field^Mop> Tony__: that would be a lot easier, yes!
<field^Mop> :)
<Tony__> they don't follow code style. My apologize for this. :(
<field^Mop> ah, yes github helps reading Chinese signs
