guys, are able to boot a rootfs from an usb stick ? I have a working usb working on my RR (when I plug my usb key it is found in dmesg and I can mount it), however the kernel is not able to found /dev/sda1 at boot, usb does not seem to be enumerated yet :/

huh ! udev rename the device associated to my usb key during the boot... so I get a ton of I/O errors... (if I try with a minimalistic /init from the usb key everything works fine and the filesystem is not corrupted at all)

well, serial console problem solved. it involves a) non-cooperative USB-serial converters (all of them PL2303 type) and b) adding ttyFIQ0 to /etc/securetty
