<jnettlet> does the upstream kernel support UHS on the Peach* chromebooks?
dlezcano_ has joined #linux-exynos
<javier__> jnettlet: afaik no, this patch (or a variation of it) is still missing http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-mmc/msg28189.html
<jnettlet> javier__, thanks
<javier__> jnettlet: yw
<jnettlet> it is annoying how difficult UHS support has been. It took us a good chunk of time to get it working reliably on the MX6 hardware as well

<Tenkawa> greetings all
<Tenkawa> anyone around?
<Wizzup> yes, although busy atm :)
<Tenkawa> I've got a first get c (5420) booting up just fine
<Tenkawa> just got a xe503c12 and not having any luck with any of the kernel boot attempts
<Tenkawa> cros is saying all the modes are enabled however I just get the beeps
<Tenkawa> at this point I'd be happy just to clone my userland to a card and use the kernek/modules on the default build
<Tenkawa> matter of fact I think I'm going to try an experiment
<Tenkawa> OH hoh
<Tenkawa> may have found something
<Tenkawa> ok.. got the kernel copied over.. now to get the modules over and hopefully not do major damage haahaa
<Tenkawa> this is going to be "interesting"
<Tenkawa> now to figure out how to get the boot line switched.. thanks for the help though..
<Tenkawa> cheers all

<Tenkawa> hmmm
<Tenkawa> it "is" possible to run debian on the xe503c12 right?
<Tenkawa> on the arch wiki pages I can only find references to the 13" model
<Tenkawa> the sd card appears to start booting however since its just got the white screen I cant see where its failing before it restarts
<Wizzup> debian yes, mainline debian kernel probably not, if it is an arm chromebook
<Tenkawa> Wizzup: Yeah... I was just going to use the stock chrome kernel and modules for now
<Tenkawa> is there a cros switch to get debug output
<Tenkawa> at boot
<WarheadsSE> Arch Wiki ?
<WarheadsSE> Another page that does not blong on wiki.archlinux.org ??
<Tenkawa> I just used them as reference... they only reference the 13 " model
<Tenkawa> I feel like I'm so close
<Tenkawa> i can see it trying to boot
<Tenkawa> instead of just beeping
<WarheadsSE> Yeah, Arch Linux ARM has the 503c32
<WarheadsSE> But the bootloader/kernel are just different enough for the c123
<Tenkawa> hmm.. maybe I'll try it from scratch
<Tenkawa> I'd really like to not run nv-uboot however doesnt look like I'm going to have much choice
<Tenkawa> the nv-uboot partition image isnt working either when I save it to a card
<Tenkawa> any of you have any thoughts on this?
<Tenkawa> or am I just out of luck?
<Tenkawa> looks like I'm out of luck.
<Tenkawa> from everything I am reading
<Tenkawa> thanks for listening though..
