Technically, symlinks work. However, nothing will follow them internally, last time I checked.
<stebalien>
Hard links aren't possible given the current architecture. We'd need links to be mutable. (well, there are other ways to do this, they're just nasty and complicated)

I have a question. Has anyone attempted to use IPFS to run a distributed file system such as Plan 9

Hi! I'm trying to set up go-ipfs with osxfuse, and 1) The mount point seems to be read-only even though I changed the owner at first, and 2) I can't seem to automatically mount with the mac desktop client.

(please also update the topic to include the command for registering the nick, it took me a while to figure it out: /msg NickServ REGISTER password youremail@example.com)

Hi, I am behind a nat, and I notice it takes ipfs awhile before requesting a hash from a gateway actually finds my content, what is making it take so long?
