hey guys quick newbie question, how does ipfs work for me even though i don't do any port forwarding? when i start the daemon it seems to listen on 4001 and apears to work even though i've never forwarded anything on my router?

Is there any usable interaction between ethereum and IPFS currently, like 'someone pays ether per month gurantees x number of pins on an IPFS hash' or somesuch?

Are you aware of issues with 0.4.22-dev-c014d1ee0 ? Like it starting to use CPU a lot resulting to load average 50+ until I got htop open and saw that the problem was IPFS. I was not actively using it that I knew of, I had upgraded Keybase (which being electron I originally blamed) and flatpak update was running

downgraded to v0.4.21 now

Is there any way to check, in general the 'health' of a hash / cid. Like, ~approximately how many nodes it is pinned on?

rboreal_frippery: you could use `ipfs dht findproviders` but it's not very reliable.
