<CIA-67> homecmos r89 | trunk/lithography-tests/labnotes/azonenberg_labnotes.txt | Today's lab notes. Dumb mistakes, nothing much accomplished.
<lekernel> that's not too expensive
<lekernel> ie compared to other stuff
<lekernel> if it were mass produced, you could probably still divide the price by 10 or so
<azonenberg> Oh joy, this could be problematic
<azonenberg> I figured out the reason for some of my yield issues on the spin coated hardmask
<azonenberg> Turns out the solvent (denatured alcohol) slowly dissolves my photoresist :P
<azonenberg> Which means if i let the drop of hardmask sit for more than a second or so before spinning, all hell breaks loose
<B0101> Now what?
<azonenberg> there are a couple of options
<azonenberg> get really good at fast-turnaround spin coating and hope to make it work
<azonenberg> Try HF more
<azonenberg> Or see about finding an alternate photoresist
<azonenberg> One that is either alcohol or fluoride resistant
<B0101> Whats the best option?
<azonenberg> Only way to find out is experiment lol
<azonenberg> I might see about picking up some ammonium fluoride and synthesizing a batch of BOE
<azonenberg> See if that diffuses slower than straight HF
<B0101> For fun, I am going to design a 4 bit adder CMOS circuit
<B0101> but well... lets try getting a simple transistor finished first
<B0101> Azonenberg: what would you buy with money?
<bart416> azonenberg, you still there?
<bart416> http://www.amazon.com/dp/0943396506/?tag=finishingcominc mentions a homemade method for sputtering
<bart416> at 2-3 torr...
<bart416> But it's for optics, but if you get a good enough vacuum pump you might be able to use the same setup
<bart416> Side bonus is that the book should be pretty easy to find in most libraries
<azonenberg> bart416: back
<bart416> did you see the link?
<bart416> I'm downloading the book atm
<azonenberg> Yeah
<bart416> 6 mb left
<azonenberg> Ah - mirror it for me?
<bart416> but I'm getting 0.2 kB/s >_>
<azonenberg> Lo
<azonenberg> Lol*
<bart416> Could probably get the right page with pdf repair tools
<B0101> Azonenberg: any update?
<azonenberg> B0101: Yeah, just got back from work
<bart416> pdf recovery doesn't work on it
<bart416> urgh
<B0101> dang!!! Truecrypt drive encrytion....
<azonenberg> B0101: what about it?
<B0101> Slow
<B0101> VERY SLOW!!!!
<B0101> the HDD i am trying to encrypt is only 600MB
<azonenberg> Lol
<azonenberg> Thats probably why
<azonenberg> Slow drive
<B0101> well... at least i am not one of the idiots who go: AH WTH!!! and scratches the disk platters
<azonenberg> lol
<B0101> lets run metasploit...
<B0101> Anti-virus sucks!!!!
<B0101> Azonenberg: well: as I said, I might create a layout for a simple transistor
<B0101> then I will design a 4 bit adder circuit for CMOS
<B0101> Then I will use the technology to create a 8 bit CPU which blows up on usage...
<bart416> lol, what are you going to do?
<bart416> Put pockets of blackpowder in it?
<B0101> bleh...
