<DocScrutinizer05> it's even possible this is what it actually did (except the contract of course). Insects are surprisingly smart in some very narrow special regards
<DocScrutinizer05> In Spain I observed a monster killer wasp that had killed a small (yet too large) lizard, which it couldn't get off the ground. So it flew a prety precise circly with a radius of 2 to 3 m around the lizard, then straight radius line back to the lizard, dragged it shortest way to next wall and climbed up the wall with it to have a jump start from 1.5m altitude - which failed since the lizard still was too heavy. So wasp and lizard landed
<DocScrutinizer05> a few meters away from the wall and the wasp started exactly same procedure all over again
<DocScrutinizer05> pretty precise circle*
<DocScrutinizer05> so smart and yet so stupid
<DocScrutinizer05> I can't find what insect this been :-/
<DocScrutinizer05> It looked like a huge black wasp with very thin middle iirc. The lizard was maybe 50 to 70mm long (incl tail)

<wpwrak> black, kills 7 cm lizards, has trouble transporing them .... maybe you saw this one, having a bad hangover from the night before ? http://www.drytortugasblog.com/fortjefferson-drytortugas-birdblog/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/BAEA-flight.jpg

<DocScrutinizer05> much rather looked similar to this https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Datei:Daboor001.jpg one, than to the one you found ;-)
<DocScrutinizer05> it's like 35 years ago, I might have forgotten how the thing actually looked, but I'm sure it wasn't the one on your photo
<wpwrak> hmm. looks like the sort of thing that's supposed to be eaten by lizards. not the other way around. well, maybe wasps over there don't read wikipedia ...
<DocScrutinizer05> no idea. It been the beach close to Rota, who knows what they breed there
<wpwrak> ah yes 35 years ago, cold war, naval base, secret biological warfare research facility ... now it makes sense :)
<DocScrutinizer05> wingspan 76mm
<DocScrutinizer05> the one I recall looked less colorful but at least the dimensions sound absolutely correct
<wpwrak> "Ein Stich der Riesenhornisse wird als äußerst schmerzhaft beschrieben." now that's unexpected ;-)
<DocScrutinizer05> indeed, particularly since the sting is a feeble 6mm long
<wpwrak> seems that elephants and hedgehogs are not on their regular menu :)
<DocScrutinizer05> bees kill them in heat balls. What I said: insects and spiders may act pretty smart

<DocScrutinizer05> indeed, also about the results of that process: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stechimmen 50,000 kinds
<DocScrutinizer05> might get difficult to find the exact kind I seen

<DocScrutinizer05> yep
<atk> Well, at least nobody you send to uses Windows 365 mail crap.
<DocScrutinizer05> funny enough their answer about "mitigating" gathered a 6.3 of 5 on my spamassassin
<atk> That stuff seems to send everything to spam.
<atk> I have DKIM, SPF and DMARC set up.
<atk> My domain is DNSSEC signed.
<DocScrutinizer05> might all be worthless. Allegedy we been range-banned
<DocScrutinizer05> our reputation been 97
<DocScrutinizer05> FU M$
<atk> They probably blocked you as a tactic to stifle business.
<DocScrutinizer05> possibly
<DocScrutinizer05> their mitigation msg was true spam anyway
<atk> With microsoft you just assume the worst and you'll probably always be right.
<DocScrutinizer05> I wholeheartedly agree with Bayes here

<atk> I use a bayesian spam filter.
<wpwrak> DocScrutinizer05: "Conditionally mitigated" sounds good, though.
<atk> The aptly named spambayes
<atk> Can I send you an email and see what spamassassin thinks?
<DocScrutinizer05> wpwrak: "Conditionally mitigated" is the first step in turning this into spam by making you wonder what you need to do to meet the conditions
<DocScrutinizer05> so they go on suggesting a few measures
<DocScrutinizer05> atk: go ahead, please send to my /ns info email though
<DocScrutinizer05> OUCH! (well, at least 0.0 rating): 0.0 FREEMAIL_FROM Sender email is commonly abused enduser mail provider (XXXX.XXX.mail[at]web.de)
<wpwrak> the rDNS complaint is strange. i see the PTR record well enough with dig -x. however, when i go here: https://remote.12dt.com/ all i get for 85.10.210.203 is an empty string
<DocScrutinizer05> hmm?
<DocScrutinizer05> this was about THEIR mail, not ours
<atk> DocScrutinizer05: That wasn't me, you mean the info email address?
<DocScrutinizer05> nope, not you, a user
<DocScrutinizer05> yesterday
<DocScrutinizer05> rated 7.3 total
<DocScrutinizer05> HTML-only mail
<DocScrutinizer05> X-PRIO flag
<DocScrutinizer05> and the above mentioned FREEMAIL_FROM, plus more
<atk> DocScrutinizer05: Sent
<DocScrutinizer05> atk: score 2.5, required 5
<atk> Where's the 2.5 from?
<atk> bayesian?
<wpwrak> (their mail) oh :-) so both sides are accusing the other of spam. oh the joy ...
<DocScrutinizer05> X-Spam-Checker-Version: SpamAssassin 3.3.2 (2011-06-06) on saturn

<DocScrutinizer05> *shrug*
<atk> score is -2.5 not 2.5 :P
<DocScrutinizer05> ooh :-D
<atk> hmm, T_DKIM_INVALID and UNPARSEABLE_RELAY ?
<DocScrutinizer05> those are TESTS
<DocScrutinizer05> not scores

<wpwrak> the spam defense singularity: when the internet has more blacklists that mail exchangers :)
<atk> I happily manage with no blacklists and only a single bayesian spam filter.
<atk> It works surprisingly well.
<atk> Out of around 1000 spam emails which have arrived in the past month, 0 were false positives, 3 were false negatives.
<atk> I'd say that's a pretty impressive record :P
<wpwrak> atk: me too
<atk> (Of course I don't tend to the average 33 emails that appear in my inbox every day, but I usually don't get emails unless I expect them and I have not had any expected emails end up in spam in the duration of this filter's use)
