[scopehal] azonenberg 6b8456f - Implemented initial background color support in PacketDecoder. Right now only actually used for SPIFlashDecoder.

[scopehal-apps] azonenberg a72e8e8 - Implemented initial UI for specifying filters in protocol analyzer window. Filters are parsed and validated, but not actually applied to the view yet. See #168.

ok there we go, that's good progress. I can only match on packet decode header fields for now, not actual data. that will come later
<azonenberg>
lain: i'm very much looking forward to getting maxwell etc working with this so i can do more extensive data collection. but even now the level of integration between raw waveforms and protocol analysis seems pretty unprecedented

like some of the fancy gear from total phase is great for one protocol
<azonenberg>
but when you want to integrate multiple different protocols on an embedded device, like troubleshooting a usb mcu sending the wrong commands to an i2c peripheral
<azonenberg>
i feel like this kind of full system debug will be super nice
<azonenberg>
even if i cant drill down quite as much on any one protocol
<azonenberg>
The tooling from e.g. lecroy for this is just pitiful
<azonenberg>
they can do spi decoding but not even read the flash protocol
<azonenberg>
and you can only see a few transactions at a time on the screen and there's no good filter capability etc

well this is lovely. apparently if you have a picovna in "manual trigger" mode and are waiting for a trigger
<azonenberg>
the vna UI software will run one core at 100% constantly
<azonenberg>
that explains why things were a bit slow in my windows vm...
<azonenberg>
Also... just got a DHL "package coming today" text
<azonenberg>
pretty sure this is the first prototype CNC aluminum enclosure for the MEAD pods
<azonenberg>
If it looks good i'll order 24 more plus the LCDs to go in them (PCBs for the pod run are coming with SMT done but the LCD has to be hand soldered later)
<bvernoux>
azonenberg, I have found a crazy checklist for electronic/PCB ....
