azonenberg: it works!
<

I'm at home now, tomorrow at the lab I can do higher speed testing. Thanks!
<
azonenberg>
marcos__: awesome :) Play around with it a bit, obviously most of the functions to change settings aren't done yet
<

and it's very alpha level

So, my 250R rf resistors came in today
<
azonenberg_work>
Gonna try swapping the 1K on one of my probes out for a 250
<
azonenberg_work>
this will turn the 20:1 probe into a 5:1
<
azonenberg_work>
and we'll see what that does to the signal
<
tnt>
Wouldn't that be 6:1 ?
<
azonenberg>
sorry 200R
<
azonenberg>
not 250
<
azonenberg>
tnt: (just double checked the package to make sure i got 200s, lol)

I'm beginning to realize why the "real" high end z0 probes dont use discrete resistors
<
azonenberg_work>
apparently the pico ones use some kind of nichrome resistance element printed onto the pcb
