<wpwrak> aah, so that's why the north korean cyberattaks recently got so much better ! :)
<DocScrutinizer05> north korean cyber attacks? I wonder if they are connected to global internet at all there
<DocScrutinizer05> well, they prolly could still use inmarsat
<DocScrutinizer05> or do you think they live on a branch of Great Chinese Firewall?
<whitequark> they aren't
<whitequark> there's a very small segment of their net that's globally accessible
<DocScrutinizer05> still I wonder how they breed the experts for cyber attacks. Or did we finally reveal the reason for all the kidnapping?
<DocScrutinizer05> HMMMM http://www.digitalattackmap.com/#anim=1&color=0&country=ALL&list=0&time=16104&view=map
<whitequark> DocScrutinizer05: probably because offense is not hard.
<whitequark> all our infra is like swiss cheese. you don't need a strong tradition of offense, just give some folks free time and western training material
<DocScrutinizer05> makes sense
<whitequark> also, a large amount of "cyber attacks" is just phishing
<whitequark> which doesn't need any technical expertise, just social, and I'm sure NK has no problems with that
