<DanC_> finally got over a hump and wrote a non-trivial pony progam. https://github.com/dckc/mtpony
<DanC_> 500 lines. (zero comments to explain what it's doing. sigh)
<DanC_> I'm less stumped by compiler error messages now

<DanC_> pony could use "deriving show" in a big way
<DanC_> well, actually, the string() methods I wrote were custom
<SeanTAllen> there's a lot of changes that will be coming with Array, List, String and otherwise reworking the standard library to be general and extensible
<DanC_> these "pony for fintech" talks suggest that there are, somewhere, large bodies of pony code powering trades and such. But with the dearth of libraries that I can see, I find that sort of hard to believe. is it the case?

<SeanTAllen> is what the case? is pony being used to power trading at a major investment bank? yes.
<SeanTAllen> i also know of a hedgefund that did a POC of a trading system in Pony although I'm not sure what happened with the POC.

<TwoNotes> The resulting class needs to be 'val' so it can be shared across actors. And I want to add a 'load from file' option
